Me too, I shall be going out very soon with Billie. We shall visit the woods to find the final few Cepes of the season.

I am very fortunate, I spend more time with the dogs, horses, sheep and pigs than I do with humans. The Alpacas are back again so life is perfect. The townies will be out at the weekend and the Alpacas seem to regard chasing ramblers as the pinnacle of entertainment.

Certain 'ramblers' deserve to be chased away by the Alpacas. We also have quad bikes, trail bikes, and push bikes, coming past the house at weekends. Nothing we can do about it other than to cross our fingers that we don't have too many.

That's an awesome welcome home.

I think we'd all like to be welcomed like that!

I don't think there is any welcome as exuberant as a dog's welcome. No one could be in any doubt that those dogs were more than happy to see their person again.

It would take a very hard heart not to smile and love.

Rick will be all over my daughter like that when she gets home on leave tomorrow.

And how nice to be greeted like that.

It's a beautiful sight.

Lucky her. Billy is always pleased to see me when I get back from shopping, but hardly in the same league.

My Beano is a Jack Russel cross and he greets me like that even if I've just been gone a few minutes.

Cro Magnon said...

How nice. My Billy usually ignores me, unless I arrive by car.

So joyful as the pack leader returns.

Here, if someone had dogs unleashed in a public space, there would be some hysterical person to squawk about it.

You couldn't have a better homecoming.

There's always a misery-guts hiding in the undergrowth. Luckily not many would complain at this sight.

Doesn't Mrs Magnon greet you like that when you've been away?

Cro Magnon said...

No, she just bites me!

My grandad had a Jack Russell and I think that's what kept him going.

They're lovely dogs, I always wanted a 'Parson' variety.
