Midnight Swim Anyone?
This beautiful picture of the pool (and full moon) was taken yesterday by our Canadian guest Diane Miller (she of 'The Miller Collection'). As she's always hoping to add to her already extensive collection, Cro is being on his best behaviour (for a while).
Ms Miller is an exceptionally fine photographer (she told me to me say that), and I thank her for allowing me to use the above.
Amazing picture. You could sell your gaff on the strength of that alone. It was a good moon last night, eh? Tell us more about Ms Miller - I'm afraid I don't know what the Miller Collection is (and am too lazy to Google it).
Jealous? No, I'm not jealous. I'm really, really not jealous. Truly. Maybe just the tiniest bit envious though. (If I was the vindictive type I might sneak over and pull the plug out)
I've got a better idea, Sue. I am going to have a secret summer holiday nearby, living in a tent at a secluded spot, then creep out every night after the Magnons have gone to bed and slowly turn that nice water yellow for them... No, I'm not jealous.
I saw the moon last night as I looked out the back door before heading off the bed. I never knew that so many miles away, across the ocean, such an amazing event was taking place.
I think it's time for you to set up an electric fence.

Optimistic Cro!
The difference between an optimist and a pessimist, is that the optimist enjoys himself whilst waiting for the inevitable! I AM that optimist!
This is a daily, optimistic, 'photos and comments' blog. I make no judgements (only occasionally), just notes. If you wish to comment in any way at all, please feel free. Everything and everyone (except the obdurate and dictatorial) is very welcome.
I was born just south of London, but for the past 50 years I've lived in S W France. I am a painter by profession, and writer by desire. Lady Magnon and I live between an ancient cottage in a tiny village in perfectly tranquil French countryside, and a bijou townhouse in Brighton UK. In France we have plenty of fruit trees, all situated amongst a view that takes the breath away, in the UK we have a handkerchief sized patio. We also have a Border Collie called Billy. I try to treat our planet with respect, and encourage others to do likewise (without preaching).
Contentment is a glass of red, a plate of charcuterie, and a slice of good country bread. Perfect!

ReplyDeletePrivate Art Collection Tom. Security reasons prevent me from saying more. Mysterious eh?
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a great picture. Almost makes me jealous of MYSELF.
