This is one of The Cure's flagship songs, and possibly their best video. There's not much in the world that doesn't feature in this short film. Pop videos are usually pretty dire, but this one is well crafted; it almost outshines the song.
I always rather liked The Cure. Their front man Robert Smith was, and still is, one of the worst dressed people in the world of music. I think he made it his trademark.
I meant to post this yesterday (Friday) but I forgot.

I'm not sure if I'm ashamed or not but I'd never heard of The Cure. I rather wish it had stayed that way.
I. apologise. That was probably a bit rude of me. Not rude enough to delete the post though.
Post = comment. My first coffee hasn't worked yet.
They were very well known at the time! They wrote a few good songs, of which this is probably their best. The video won't appeal to all, but it's a fine piece of work.
p.s. I don't mind people being rude about musical taste. I say similar things about Ed Sheeran and Val Doonican.
My favourite by the Cure is " The Love Cats".
Another goodie. The video with it always reminds me of 'Madness'.
I've heard of them but couldn't name or recognise any of their songs. I don't think my music tastes have ever progressed beyond ELO and Queen. Could be something to do with my age of course!
Our musical tastes usually reflect our age; I will always like The Beatles.
I had their CD with this on it back in the day. I loved them.
They had a big cult following. They always put on a good show.
I don't think I e heard of 'The Cure'. But the song sounds familiar. I enjoyed it
I'm surprised; they were very 'international'.
A real throw back. Fondly remembered. Yes, to Friday!
A good song. We should hear it more often.
I love The Cure - Lullaby, A Forest, Close to Me, Pictures of You. All so wonderful.
