Luckily I was away at the time. The beach is bad enough on a sunny weekend, but this was crazy. I believe it was the only day on which there was no alcohol left in the whole town.
What a wonderful idea Crozier! But half the wall space would be for Yorkshire women like Judi Dench, Amy Johnson, The Bronte sisters, Betty Boothroyd, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Mel B, Nicola Adams, Helen Sharman and Barbara Taylor-Bradford.

he's from Bromley, not Brighton.
The happening was on Brighton beach. He mentions it a couple of times in the video.
So many people!! Too many for me. He certainly was popular.
When I visited The National Portrait Gallery, they had a portrait of Norman Cook but not Captain James Cook! Outrageous!
He's lived here since the age of 18, and still does.

That certainly is strange, perhaps you need your own dedicated portrait gallery for Yorkshiremen.

Cook could always occupy the other wall.
We would need space for Andrew Marvell, Harold Wilson, Joe Cocker and Arthur Scargill.
You've forgotten 'The Ripper'.
Ha-ha! Nice one!
