Trelawnyd Male Voice Choir-Bring Him Home

Someone says he's going to leave all this. I don't believe him.

If you wish to sing along, the lyrics are below. You might also hear JG in the background. Tissues at the ready.

God on high
Hear my prayer
In my need
You have always been there

He is young
He's afraid
Let him rest
Heaven blessed.
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home.

He's like the son I might have known
If God had granted me a son.
The summers die
One by one
How soon they fly
On and on
And I am old
And will be gone.

Bring him peace
Bring him joy
He is young
He is only a boy

You can take
You can give
Let him be
Let him live
If I die, let me die
Let him live
Bring him home
Bring him home
Bring him home.

  3. The choir sings heavenly and Wales is so beautiful. It looked like there were twins in the last photo.

    1. I have Welsh blood in me, and love male voice choirs. They produce a very emotional sound.

    2. Beautiful song. Also love Welsh Male Voice Choirs - perhaps it is the Welsh blood in me although my DNA shows more Irish for some weird reason.

    3. Don't believe it; they've mistaken it for Welsh!

    1. I hope it may encourage him to stay (and join the choir).

  7. It captures Wales, grey stone churches and chapels, a landscape so beautiful it makes one weep.As a child I would be sent to a Welsh farm in the holidays, trailing down to the river with a pig in tow to fish for trout with my brother. JG will not leave Wales, or his home, without a great deal of thought.

  11. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, in every way. I do hope that John stays, but if not, I am sure that wherever he goes, he will be loved.

    1. Most of us, when thinking of Trelawnyd; think of John. The two are inseparable.

  13. What gorgeous countryside! I was a little shocked to see the photo at the end as I hadn't realised who was the subject of the song. A bit slow this morning!
