We are having some really foul, early Spring, weather at the moment. It's either freezing bloody cold, snowing, or pouring; not conducive to venturing outdoors too much. Of course the dogs aren't bothered about weather, they just want to be running around, no matter what.

Oh those lovely boys! What handsome faces. (I mean the dogs!)
ReplyDeleteI would love a log burner Cro....but I want immediate heat....is yours lit all the time? do you leave it overnight?
ReplyDeleteAt the moment it's going almost all the time. At night it just 'ticks over', ready to get going again in the morning. It uses A LOT of wood.
DeleteI was just trying to estimate. I reckon we've got through about 5 cu metres of wood this winter, and it ain't over yet!
DeleteLovely picture - they look as if they understand everything you are saying. The weather is foul here too - any chance of spring arriving any time soon?
ReplyDeleteThe Daffs are up.... usually a sign!
DeleteWe can learn a lot from hounds in this weather.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm going to produce and market human-sized dog beds, the furry igloo kind. There's always a danger that I may just crawl into the prototype and not emerge again until April...
Labradors do that perfect "morose" expression.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful boys.
ReplyDeleteI've decided I am going to hibernate until about the first week of April. (It is currently freezing and wet in Wiltshire - brrrr!)
ReplyDeleteI was hoping you'd do a post about your best buds. When things get a little too serious, we need a "Monty-Bok" fix to pull us back to what is really important...family and friends, even the furry kind.
ReplyDeleteHow right you are, Gail!
DeleteHandsome devils!!!
ReplyDeleteTe fire looks so warm Cro,I imagine the indoors is a nice place to be right now.
ReplyDeleteOur dogs have been spending a lot of time indoors also; our weather is similar. We are amid the battle between winter and spring. Do you get tornadoes?
ReplyDeleteThat's probably the ONLY thing we don't get; everything else in abundance!
DeleteBit like that here too.
ReplyDeleteI can practically feel the heat from your stove. I've spent many a cold evening watching my dogs languishing near a similar heat source.
ReplyDeleteIs your stove inside a ginormous fireplace?
ReplyDeleteYou can see the "oh please!" look in their eyes....
Yes, it's in a big open fireplace; which used to be the kitchen, and all the old kit is still there. It must have been a nightmare to cook anything in Summer! HOT.
