The sconce ensconced.

Well here it is, in situ, up at the barn. I'm happy with it.

    1. It's a pretty classic French antique. It was covered in dust, so I imagine had come from some old barn.

  3. Now I see it on the wall I can understand why you bought it and why you opted for candles. Now for the lighting of the candles.

    1. They may never be lit; no drip trays.

    2. Ah, I've thought of just the thing...some of those little paper cases that homemade chocolates go in would make good drip trays under the candles as long as you keep an eye on them. Looks lovely.

    3. Yes, it needs something small, neutral coloured, and well fitting. I'll probably just make them myself.

  7. It was hard to see it properly in your previous photo, but it looks great in situ on the wall.

  8. Oh yes, you must have one special winter night with the fire lit and candles alight.
