A diverse offering twixt the interesting, the unusual, and the amusing.
It looks perfect there.
Looks good.
I think I found the right spot.
It wasn't cheap, but I'm pleased I bought it.
YES!
You approve then? Good!
Cro - it is absolutely beautiful - you have such a good eye.
It's a pretty classic French antique. It was covered in dust, so I imagine had come from some old barn.
Now I see it on the wall I can understand why you bought it and why you opted for candles. Now for the lighting of the candles.Alphie
They may never be lit; no drip trays.
Rather charming.
So beautiful.
In its way.
I like the mix of old and new; it works at the barn.
I'd love something like that , and I have the corner for it
The whole scene is lovely and the sconce is perfect there.
It was hard to see it properly in your previous photo, but it looks great in situ on the wall.
Oh yes, you must have one special winter night with the fire lit and candles alight.
Ah, I've thought of just the thing...some of those little paper cases that homemade chocolates go in would make good drip trays under the candles as long as you keep an eye on them. Looks lovely.
That's lovely, it looks like it just belongs there.
Try a French boot sale!
I think I found the right spot; it wasn't easy.
I'm sure it'll have its moment; I'll need to make some drip trays.
That's what I thought; just the right size, etc.
Yes, it needs something small, neutral coloured, and well fitting. I'll probably just make them myself.
exactly. just the right thing
A good looking corner! And that's some fine rendering you have there.
