50 by 50 cm flagstones are being laid, and it will make a really beautiful outdoor dining/dancing area. I'm not sure yet what they'll use for shade, but no doubt a solution will appear in time.
I always say that the most important room in the house here is the auvent, an outdoor room where one lives from Spring to Autumn. It really should have a roof for when it rains, but I expect they'll soon realise that.
When the barn's exterior wooden cladding is renewed (possibly this winter), a couple of doors made for upstairs (gawd knows when), and the second bathroom completed; all will be finished. It's already a lovely spacious home.
We might even invite Wills's older brother, Kimbo, to come over and cut a ribbon. He's used to such things, and probably by now even has his own scissors.
Things advance, little by little.

He's certainly getting better, but still has a cough and headaches. It might take a while to be 100% again.
A roof with trailing vines, greenery and lots of colour just like your outside area? Your terrace should be an inspiration for them.
I've suggested exactly that, but they're looking for a different solution.
My outside trrrace has not been used once this year - the weather has never been kind enough.
We live outside here, even today we've been sitting outside with our coffee, etc, whilst the children play with Lego.
It must be nice to have the barn occupied again after all your hard work.
They love it too, it's extremely warm and comfortable.
It will develop slowly into an outdoor living space no doubt.

This is a very nice custom patio. I like the stairs leading to the patio too. Having indoor and outdoor living spaces makes for comfortable living.
It is becoming a really beautiful home; we almost wish it was us living there.
They are really nice. They make the terrace look twice its size.
Essential here. This is very much an outdoor area for most of the year, even now we're sitting outside in the afternoons for tea, etc.
