Christmas is for children.

They all gathered around the tree to attach the baubles and tinsel. There was cheering, fighting, and quite a lot of excited screaming! Billy, of course, joined the fun.

Golly drew the short straw, and became this year's 'fairy'.

Here they are a bit later; waiting for the lights to be turned on..

They've met Santa, they've decorated the tree, and they've helped make Mince Pies and the Christmas Cake. Now, comes the worst bit, waiting 'patiently' for the big day.

Only a week or so to go, and everything, and everyone, is ready (almost). There are plenty of presents under the two trees, lots of Clementines ready for their stockings, and special Christmas pyjamas for that long sleep after too much pudding. Little Mischa (the Cherub) just can't wait.

It's going to be the best Christmas ever.

    1. We're having our main Christmas meals separately (they're veggies), but will spend Christmas eve together (barn), then have brunch together (here) on the big day. Things are looking good.

    2. Santa is told NOT to wear his beret when delivering presents. Yes, we always put a few clementines and nuts in the stockings. I still find it strange that we can't buy Brazil nuts in their shells any more. Bloody bureaucrats!!!

    1. A bit tricky with them being veggies, but we'll have two separate main meals, and two other veggie ones. It'll all work-out OK.

  10. There’s a film on YouTube called A Child’s Christmas in Wales after the Dylan Thomas children’s story. It’s about a boy and his grandad and Christmas. Has good reviews. 58 mins running time so not too long.

    1. They were very busy yesterday. They both rushed in to see me (between other essential tasks), gave me a big hug and kiss, then ran off again. Life is becoming hectic.
