Chef Boo Boo.

They'd told me they were making this year's Christmas Cake, but they changed their minds.

Instead they made a Chocolate Cake, which Boo Boo thought was a much better idea, as he could have some with his Tea.

He's no fool our Boo Boo.

As all good chefs know, tasting is an important part of the process.

And when it was ready, the cake disappeared; Boo Boo took it home, and only left one tiny slice for me!

I shall be having words with him. (I believe The Christmas Cake will be made later today)

    1. This is Bunny; he's now known as Boo Boo. His little brother Mischa is still too small for cake making.

    2. Oh, does Mischa not have a nickname.

    1. Boo Boo comes down to see us most days. We play games together, Lady M bakes with him, and we have a lot of fun. It's perfect.

  4. Christmas cake or chocolate cake? Now there's a dilemma. Well, not really, chocolate cake please!

  5. While Xmas cake has it's merits, I'm with Boo Boo. I'd take the chocolate cake home too.

    1. I'm in the other camp; I like rich fruit cakes, the others are a bit too sweet for me.

  6. Yes, I expect children will prefer chocolate cake. So Lady M will be making the Christmas cake later?

    1. I believe so; dried fruits have been soaking in Armagnac and fruit juice overnight, so something is afoot.

  7. I like the cake. In fact I'm a bit of a chocoholic on the quiet. Your blog page footer tells me I might also like Juncker. πŸ•·

    1. One of the things I need to eat (apparently) for my high blood pressure, is good quality dark chocolate. I have no problem with that.

What's all this about you, me, and Juncker?? I see no ships!

    2. Juncker has gone. Harry and Megs are down there now. Certainly a lot of celebrities here! πŸ…πŸŽ–πŸ’„πŸ‘‘

  8. Sad. Just one slice. Ah well, better for you than two slices - if only half as enjoyable.

  13. Chocolate Boo-Boo cake outranks Christmas cake, any day.

    1. The Christmas Cake is now made. There is still a lot of 'anointing' with Armagnac to be done, so it'll be a while before we taste it. Luckily I like both, but the CC is an 'institution', more than just a cake.
