I would swim early, then select a pile of books, pour a long cool glass of real lemonade/elderflower cordial, bag myself a sofa indoors and then snooze until my next swim.
We are forecast to reach the dizzying heights of 19 C, if we are lucky, with rain forecast for much of the day.
Just the sound of water is cooling isn't it ?..... And to be able to throw yourself in the pool when the heat gets too much is perfect ..... I could have done with a pool yesterday after gardening for 5 hours ..... It was pretty hot here yesterday ! Enjoy the beautiful weather Cro. XXXX
I thought it was going to storm for a while this morning. I think all the tourists have gone home, VdP was deserted early this morning and there was no queue in the boulangerie.
It has been hot like this in previous years, but this summer I am less able to handle it. It has just been constant with few breaks and little rain. My gardens have suffered from the weather and my neglect.
I liked the video, with that delightful water and great narration. Far too much of NYC August has been in that 35 C range, often even warmer, It's a challenge to have the humidity added to the mix. However, today seems like a good one, perhaps just above 30, but drier, which makes a big difference to summer in the city.
WOW ! What a lovely garden and pool. It is hot in Sussex today. I will have to make do with sitting on the bridge and dangling my legs in our fish pond ! marion x
I've just been talking to my Brighton tenant about a cat stuck in the chimney.They had to get firemen in to make a hole in the chimney to get the little wretch out. Sussex Life!
As you made your commentary on the video.... my brain listened to Viv Stanishall and the notes of the Bonzo's "The Intro and the Outro" gently wafted through the grey matter!
Oh, it was awful here today - just nudging 38 degs. Daughter did a vide grenier, made about €40 to put towards a new ferret (like you do) but had our huge garden parasol to hide from the sun. Luckily the VG was in our village, so not far to lug boxes of junk in the heat.
I saw them once at The Black Cat in Catford (I think). I remember that I was holding an almost full pint of beer when they let off a huge explosion. My beer came out of my glass and most of it landed back in it again, just like in a cartoon. It was hilarious (as was the gig).
35 is just a tad too warm even for me. I used to enjoy the advantage of playing croquet in the 30s when I would be at my best but most opponents would be flagging. However the reverse happened if it got below 25.

I throw myself in the pool several times a day. Otherwise we don't do much, just eat sleep and drink the occasional glass of water.

Being able to cool down that way must be heaven..and hearing your voice was fun...you sound younger than I imagined you would!
At times it's too hot to enjoy; personally I think 25 C is ideal, but this is another 10 C on top. No rain in sight for at least another 2 weeks.
I am younger than I am. Living without a pool here would be a bit like living without a kitchen; essential, not luxury.
Next video hand the camera to Lady M and throw yourself in the pool! Create a bit of a splash.

Everything around here is beige; very arid. I water my veg' patch, but otherwise I just have to leave it. It all looks dreadful.
That's a winter temp here. Add 100% humidity and it 110f. Air conditioning is one of the greatest inventions of the 20th century.

I've been to Miami and The Caymans where I imagine it's all much the same. Not my idea of fun.
Yes I very occasionally show a few bits and pieces, but I don't use this page for self-publicity; I have someone else for that.

I feel for her. The one reason I refuse to sell at any VG is on account of the heat; my village holds ours in late July.
