Lady Magnon was due to return to France yesterday afternoon, but, as everyone probably knows, London's two major airports (the busiest in the world) are snowed under.Re-booking is never easy in these circumstances, and the next available flight is on Boxing day.
So, looks like another Christmas all by myself. I shall watch 'It's a Wonderful life', and 'Love Actually' on TV, maybe roast myself a small duck, and settle down to pull a lone cracker.
Occasionally life deals a bummer. I suppose it's my turn.
Oh no, poor Cro! I'd invite you over to Chez Nous but we're in Blighty for the winter. (Phew, lucky escape there I hear you say!). Will Lady M be back for Boxing Day?

ReplyDeleteThis is (as your title suggests) just like the movie Home Alone, except you're not 9 years old, you're in France instead of Chicago, and Joe Pesci isn't staking out your mansion. Okay, it's nothing like Home Alone. But I do feel bad for you. I hope your neighbor's dogs will come around and give you some comfort and company. Take care ~

ReplyDeleteHi Cro..what a bummer!!! maybe you better send lady Cro shopping earlier next year...I thought I was hard done because our son doesn't want to come home for Xmas lol as long as your lady is safe thats the main thing isn't it,our friends daughter wanted to see a white Christmas so she has jetted off to Uk, Scotland and Ireland then Europe on a Contiki tour,wonder where they will be stuck!they left here on monday last week yukk,would you believe we have gone from the steaming heat of last week to 8c today we will all end up with summer colds! have the best day you can, hey the visiting the home sounds like a good idea.Carole
