Today's message is to follow your dreams, do all those things your mother told you not to do, and say Boo to that Goose!
Here's some happy northern Soul dancing to accompany Atlanta band The Tams and their 1968 hit.
The opening blurry shots seem to be from some Mod-Vespa-Fest in Japan. Strange video; nice song!
Fabulous to wake up to! Loved it, thanks Cro for putting a smile on my face this morning.
ReplyDeleteA good cheery song for a Sunday morning!
DeleteThese are really three things I have probably already forgotten about. I love the joy of life of these people.
ReplyDeletePlay this every morning, and they'll all come back again! Young foolish and happy should be the aim of everyone.
DeleteSuch a feel good song …. A great start to a Sunday morning. XXXX
ReplyDeleteYes, a great song, but a shame that they chose such rubbish film to accompany it.
DeleteI'll have another attempt now that I have woken up a bit more Cro. I remember Mods and Rockers - how I envied them. I was in my early teens and my parents (Strict Methodists deep inthe Lincolnshire Fens)thought them the height of depravity. How times hAVE changed.
ReplyDeleteThe Mods still turn up in Brighton every year for a Vespa/Lambretta rally. Of course these days they're all in their late 60's or early 70's.
DeleteThe Mods were a 1960s subculture Weave. What did your first husband think of them?
DeleteI was a MOD …. Used to wear my Bri-Nylon Mac in the height of Summer 🤣😂🤣 !!! XXXX
ReplyDeleteGood for you. I would never have called myself a Mod, but John Stevens did supply a few items in my wardrobe!
DeleteI believe that The Tams' follow-up hit was "Be Old, Be Wise, But Be Arthritic"
ReplyDeleteThen after that 'Be wrinkled, Be bed ridden, But be just about hanging-on'.
DeleteSmashing.
ReplyDeleteI keep listening to it. A great happiness song.
DeleteFollow your dreams. Have no regrets.
ReplyDeleteThat's the message... we should all live by it!
DeleteThat had me tapping my toes.
