They're now back in London, but there's been plenty of Croquet, Golf, Go-karting, Bike riding, Billie walking, eating, drinking, laughing, and sunshine.
The boys were also taught how to open Oysters and bottles of Champagne; essential life-skills.
The week went so quickly, but we'll see them again in August, when, no doubt, we'll do it all again. Bye!
I gather you will have all the grandies there in August. Worth waiting for.
ReplyDeleteNot sure how many yet, but it could be all of them.
DeleteThey come home with wonderful memories and good experiences, that's what Grandfather is supposed to give to the grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteI hope that's the case. They certainly had a good time over the past week.
DeleteOysters and champagne. Their grandfather is teaching them well.
ReplyDeleteThey weren't terribly keen on the Oysters, but loved the Champagne.
DeleteThe things you learn at grandad house! Handing down the traditions, stories, lessons to the next generation and creating memories which will become tales to tell their grandchildren.
ReplyDeleteYou'll all be looking forward to August
That's what it's all about. Yes, can't wait for the August invasion.
DeleteSounds like you all had a great time.Billy will be missing his new friends no doubt. What happy memories the boys will have to share and lots to tell their friends. I am mighty impressed that you taught them such valuable life skills. Is Billy expecting you to keep up the pace of all those activities until August when it all happens again!
ReplyDeleteBilly can't understand why they're not still here. I can't wait for him to meet them again.
DeleteYou will be getting down to some work now.
ReplyDeleteThat's the only problem with having guests. My work load is doubled, and my every-day work gets sidelined. I've now got a lot to catch-up on.
DeleteSounds like it's been a lot of fun and good memories to look back on. It always goes too quickly.August to look forward to though.
ReplyDeleteAnd plenty to do in between times.
DeleteNow I know why you always wear a hat.
ReplyDeleteBugger. My secret is out!
DeleteI think you must be the perfect grandfather :)
ReplyDeleteI lost mine very young and missed out on all that fun stuff!
Me too JayCee; I didn't know any of my grandparents.
DeleteWhat a lot of lovely fun was had! Never to young to learn these life skills, and you'll be no doubt consigning these tasks to them in future while you can sit back and be waited upon!
ReplyDeleteThat's the intention. When I was small, our 'char' used to get us to peel potatoes, trying to leave one long piece of peel. We loved it, and had no idea that she was simply getting us to peel the potatoes.
DeleteYou all had a fun-filled week and now you have another time like that to look forward to in August. You are a lucky man.
ReplyDeleteI am indeed. Even more grandsons coming for Summer too!
DeleteThose oysters look divine!
ReplyDeleteThey were beautiful; some of the biggest, and tastiest, I've ever eaten.
DeleteI see your wisteria is in full bloom, everything looks wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBoth the Wisteria and the Clematis are amazing at the moment.
DeleteWonderful photos and Billy looks likehe is loving every second.
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
He had a really great time with them... he'd hardly leave them alone!
