I had a bit of a scare.
I wasn't feeling too good. Headache, sore-ish throat, flu-like feelings, all the signs that well-vaxxed folk often have.
I was quite nervous doing my test; I had a horrible feeling that my turn had come. Luckily only one red stripe appeared on my test strip, which meant I was OK. Two red stripes and you're infected.
I live to fight another day.

Yes it is still a bit unnerving to do it isn't it.
It's the waiting for 30 mins which is unnerving.
Good news! Maybe you just have a common cold and will be just fine in a couple of days.
It's probably wise to do another couple of daily tests. I tested positive on the 3rd day of symptoms, and my daughter on the 4th. We both had negative tests on the preceeding days.

I'm on day six of whatever is making the rounds. Three negative tests. Headache, runny nose, sore throat, ear ache, lethargy, and swollen glands. Chills on and off.
Totally feeling sorry for myself.
Two red stripes? Upon the buttocks? Isn't that what the notorious housemaster gave to a certain disobedient schoolboy?
I think it was simply a one day cold! I already feel better. Perhaps it's the relief.

I'm feeling OK this morning. I still think it's amazing that I haven't succumbed.
A good friend of my always used to say, that if one takes all the 'cold cures' known to man, it will last for two weeks. If one takes nothing at all, it will last 14 days. You have my sympathy.
I'm afraid it was usually SIX, and they came quite often.
I put all my sniffles etc down to hayfever and take an antihistamine. It works so I'm probably okay. When (if) the day comes the antihistamine doesn't work, I'll take a test.
I think I would put it down to a cold and take a Lemsip and read a book.
