3 Ingredients, plus spices.

Ingredients: One finely sliced onion, one chopped (bite sized) chicken breast, half a dozen long thin green peppers (not hot).

The Spices: A teaspoon of medium curry paste, a teaspoon of garam masala, a few chilli flakes, a bit of chicken stock cube, water, S & P.

The true taste of India; earthy, stimulating, delicious.

A bit of Bangra in the background, a warm evening, some Basmati, pleasant company, and a cool beer; what more could you want! Feeds two.

N.B. The above photo was actually of a curry from last year. Yesterday's one was exactly the same, but my photo was rubbish.

  1. Looks good.
Sadly my wife doesn't eat curry or anything spicy, so it's off my menu.

    1. I don't think I could survive without a curry once or twice a week.

    2. Sadly, I'm in the same situation as cumbrian.

    3. Oh dear, you have my sympathy.

    4. I think Cumbrian and Jimmy should start a gentle conversion of their respective partners by introducing a mild tandoori perhaps.

  2. For as many years as I can remember, I always have a Waitrose curry on a Saturday night if we are in. Delicious. When I am cooking I love to add spices and chilli flakes ( can't be bothered to prepare a real chilli!) I have recently cooked similar to yours, but with chopped bacon, and mushrooms not the green pepper. ( Served on cauliflower rice)

  3. That looks amazing. At first glance I thought the peppers were okra! :)

    1. It would work well with Okra too.... we can't buy them here.

  4. We like a good curry and go to the local curry house a lot. Much better than the ones I make and not an expensive meal out.

  5. Nothing more delicious than a simple curry made from the freshest ingredients.

  6. Once again, seeing your post has given me some cooking ideas. Or perhaps restaurant ideas. Or both.

It is very hot here, so perhaps curry is a wise menu choice?

    Best wishes.

  8. I can't make a good curry - and believe me I've tried - yours looks pretty good. We have plenty of good curry houses in Leicester due to the massive Indian and Pakistani population we have here.

    1. No Indian restaurants here, and the few 'Chinese' restaurants are run by Vietnamese.
