Yet another silly scam!

Have you received one of these?

Beware, this rather stupid scam is doing the rounds. Of course we all know that we didn't order anything to the value of £315.00, but it suggests that someone has hacked our bank account.

Delete at once. Do not open. It will probably ask you to confirm all you bank details, your favourite sweets, and your inside leg measurement. BEWARE.

However, one really has to ask; if the payment was 'declined', why would they now owe us money?

Logic scammers; logic!

  1. I once heard that the scammers first job is to eliminate all sensible reasoning people, so the ones that are left behind are worth their time. You failed to jump the first hurdle. Congratulations.

    1. I've just found two more in my 'junk' mail. They were refunds for TV licences. They don't stop!

  2. Have you watched James Veitch's video on YT? He answers his spam. Very funny.

  3. Those Amazon emails have been around for years. As you say, ignore and delete or just ignore.

    1. That's the problem with living out in the countryside; I receive everything so much later than everyone else.

  4. I got one this week from "yahoo administration" who were going to close my yahoo (email) account unless I clicked on the link "and do not change your passwords". I tell you, the temptation was tremendous but I didn't click on it and forwarded the mail to "abuse@yahoo". BUT since my birthday on 24 September I have been constantly been receiving those wonderful emails where Widow Twanky has $3 million she wants to put into my bank account. I have created a word document with all of their scams and every time I get one I email my word document back to ALL of them. Silly I know but it amuses me!

  6. I haven't seen that one, but I think I am rich as someone keeps putting bitcoin in my bank account. Well, they are trying to and will if I give my bank account details.
