It's the twelfth of December; Billy's birthday.
Billy hails from just outside Toulouse; he's a Toulousain. Border Collies are not breeds that one immediately associates with France, but he is an exception. I believe he was one of 7 siblings; and was 'headhunted' by Kimbo.
I'd been in an awful state. My previous dog, Bok, had just died, and I'd been alone at the house to cope with it all. I'd had a few really horrible weeks.
Then Lady M returned, accompanied by Kimbo holding a shoe box. The box contained an ugly little black and white puppy with a pink nose. It was Billy.
That was just six years ago, and he's not left my side since.
He no longer has that pink nose, and he's no longer ugly. In fact I would say he's grown into a very handsome young dog.
So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY my darling Billy, and bonne anniversaire. I have a lunchtime treat for you. Let's both hope we have many more years together.

Happy Birthday Billy! It's wonderful how they worm their way into your heart... and Border Collie's are not only handsome, but smart. My brother (named Billy by the way) was a dog show judge and also showed Border Collies.

Yes, we're very happy to have him with us. He loves it both here and in France.
We have a cousin in Norway who has FIVE. They seem to run in the family.
I think he takes us for granted. And probably so he should.

Happy Birthday to Billy! I got my pup, Annie Oakley, at about the same time. Like Billy, Annie has not been without me since. We live happier lives because of them. Most of the time anyway.... Spoil him a little for me and Annie!
He is a handsome lad and, likely, very smart. I have only know two Border Collies and they were both very intelligent.
I will. He's already been played-with by various strangers in the park. He's having a good day.
I've had more to do with Border Collies than any other dogs, and they were all very smart.

Happy birthday Billy! We've recently been eating Toulouse sausages from our local butcher - delicious- no doubt Billy has tried them.
He had a lovely time, although I don't suppose he knew it was his birthday.
When in France, we eat them often.
