I am showing this picture of my roasted Turkey simply to illustrate how tender it was.
I tried to transfer the bird from its roasting dish onto a serving dish, and it literally fell apart. I have never known a Turkey to be that tender before.
Of course, we all ate and drank far too much, but it was all good!
And as for that hamper (laundry basket) from a well-known Knightsbridge store, It was jam-packed with goodies. I may not need to go shopping for six months!
I am sure it was delicious. That hamper looks great.
ReplyDeleteWhen I lifted it up, both back legs fell off, and it split in two. It tasted great though!
DeleteWe were also given a hamper (not from Harrods). It's just so much more exciting than getting things in a plastic bag. :D
ReplyDeleteIt was a terrific surprise, apart from the fact that we've been staring at it for the past two weeks!
DeleteI expect I would also have fallen apart if I had been sitting in a hot oven for three or four hours.
ReplyDeleteEither that, or burned to a crisp!
DeleteSadly our turkey crown was a bit rubbery!! Edible though! The dogs will be having turkey with their biscuits for the foreseeable.
ReplyDeleteOurs (literally) just fell apart. I have never known a Turkey to be so tender
DeleteAs turkey should be.
ReplyDeleteYes, I suppose so.
DeleteGorgeous, both the turkey and hamper too. Your little video yesterday was lovely and left me wondering, due to the emblem on the container, if you are a Mason. My dad belonged all his life and such symbols always catch my eye. Wishing you a peaceful boxing day filled with treats!
ReplyDeleteNo, I wasn't. I bought the box at a French 'boot sale', then discovered it to be solid silver. I paid just a few pence for it.
DeleteFantastic all around. Love that hamper!
ReplyDeleteThe hamper was (is) superb. Full to the brim with wonderful things.
DeleteCro, your turkey and your hamper both look wonderful! Our daughter always sends us a basket of goodies - not from Harrod's of course, but still fun. Enjoy! And Happy New Year 2025!
