Iain Dale's comment on the EU's vaccine behaviour.

This is my attempt to resolve complexity; if you find Brussels as confusing as I do, this may help.

I have made my own comment about this affair, but here is LBC's Iain Dale saying much the same.

Iain says it far more succinctly than I can. So this is the EU vaccine saga in a nutshell.

He is 100% right in everything he says.

  1. Hmmmm - the follow the money point has come out in a few different places recently. Even my bro in NZ (which hasn't started a vaccine program yet) raised it in conversation last week.

    1. I do wish (as Iain Dale suggests) that the UK would kick back and punish them, but as usual they are playing the 'nice boy'.

  3. I want to find a big stone to hide under. I am sick to death of the word 'covid' and 'vaccine'.
Did the top dogs ever worry about the people? I think not. Money lies behind everything.
The man had a lovely voice though so, lol

    1. Well, in this particular case, the EU big wigs really are putting their own citizens in serious danger, simply for political reasons. It's a disgrace.

  4. Thanks for sharing this Cro. Iain Dale articulates very clearly and simply what has been going on with regard to the EU's interventions re. Astra Zenica. As I have suggested before, the EU and its leaders should be praising and thanking Britain for having the vision and the wherewithal to back up Astra Zenica's vaccine development and its production capacity.

  5. Ursula von der Leyen is everything the EU knew her to be, weak and manipulatable by Macron, just what he wanted.

  7. "Follow the money". Not the researchers in universities who work 24/7 for no additional reward other than the satisfaction of knowing the human value of what they were doing.

  8. Follow the money - it was ever thus. I agree 100% with what Iain Dale says. The political leaders should be ashamed of themselves, their actions are costing lives.

    1. There is no co-ordination here for vaccination. It's as if everyone is acting separately. Hopeless; so let's blame the Brits!

  9. Thank you for sharing that, Cro. Reactions to the pandemic, vaccine, et all across the globe have been astonishing. It's hard not to wonder. My husband and I got our 1st shots just over a week ago. No choice as to which one; we didn't care, believing any vaccine is better than none at our ages with our health concerns. Non naïve. Practical. Someday this all will be in the rear view mirror.

    1. That rear view mirror will show a bad dream over here. The mismanagement and nastiness has been 1st class.

    2. I've no doubt folks will remember and there are expected consequences down the road, but take heart, Cro. It will be behind us all one day.

  10. I am just sick of all the posturing and arguing to be honest I listened to what he had to say and agree with him but couldn't help losing interest and speculating on just how many people spell his Christian name wrongly if they write to him

    1. Is it a Scottish spelling? It must be very annoying for him that most get it wrong.

  11. Almost everything has to do with the money. It is so shameful, regardless of whether it has to do with the health of the populace or any other decision governments make.
