Summer Love (a refreshingly non-depressing posting).

In recent times they've taken to keeping each other company, outdoors.

They occasionally touch noses, but otherwise they know their places.

It's how it should be.

Wonderful photograph. It reminds me of me and my other half. X

Freddie refused to smile.

They are!

Aren't you getting married this weekend? Congrats to you both.

Top cat, top dog.

Cro Magnon said...

They certainly think they are.

Great photo of two friends.

Cro Magnon said...

Nice aren't they. They give us so much pleasure.

Tabbies are beautiful ! I have had 5 tabbies over the last 45 years. Present incumbent is now 17 and very frail and deaf, but still eats well . He ignores the dogs !

Cro Magnon said...

Tabbies are without question my favourites. To me they are REAL cats.

Just how a relationship should be, LOL!

Cro Magnon said...

They've spent about 5 years ignoring each other, now they've decided to be friends.

Lovely ...... and, there's not really any competition .... Bok is top dog and Freddie is top cat .... perfect.

Anything non-depressing is welcome at the moment.

There is an optical illusion in this photo for me - I keep thinking that Freddie is slowly blinking at us, like cats do.

Cro Magnon said...

He always takes the higher ground.

Cro Magnon said...

He's actually a bit of a miserable old codger.

Cro Magnon said...

Bok is certainly a good companion; Fred I'm not so sure about. He's very aloof.

Cro Magnon said...

It sure is Graham.

Cro Magnon said...

Isn't that supposed to be their way of smiling?

Freddie's ears say bugger off; Boc's whole body says let's run around this yard a bit.

We also have a tabby. They really are the best kind of cat. So symmetrical. -Jenn

That happens to many creatures.

Cro Magnon said...

Freddie has never been a friendly cat; very aloof.

Cro Magnon said...

He's always been a very attractive cat, with beautiful markings.

The Weaver of Grass said...

Ah but you have no idea what they are saying to one another in animal language.

Tom Stephenson said...

I do the same to cats. It makes them relaxed.

What a beautiful cat. I love that they know where each is sitting and that is ok.

Tabby cats are the most beautiful of cats.
I named my daughter Tabitha, knowing it would be shortened to Tabby. And it was.

Freddie looks remarkably like the kidling's cat, Connelly. He is, however, far more regal and aloof than her cat, who is neediness personified.

Thank you, dear Cro, for sharing this picture of shared space and time with us. It's a good image to return to when other images challenge life's joy.

Best wishes.

I suspect it's not printable.

Cro Magnon said...

They keep their distance after having said hello.

Cro Magnon said...

Yes I love Tabbies. Your daughter should be proud of her lovely name.

Cro Magnon said...

Freddie was actually 'BOUGHT' from someone in Windsor (by my oldest son), and he probably thinks he's royalty.

Doom and Gloom can become all invasive after a while. We've had far too much of it.
