Keeping them busy.

Trying to find new and interesting activities for the children isn't easy.

There's been Cricket, Football, Swimming, Golf, Croquet, Treasure hunting, Kayaking, TV (yes, I know), and good old fashioned walks through the woods.

A dog, several kids, and a woodland track, and all is well with the world. Long walks are best! Little Jade even took her two teddies along.

If they are bored there with all their cousins they have a problem especially with the list of activities.

and you didn't mention the bikes.

They haven't used the bikes at all; maybe they've forgotten that they're there.

No time to be bored, they are busy all day long.

No squabbles, no tears, no fights?

Cro Magnon said...

Not yet. A few 'huffs', but they are soon remedied. Kayaking today.

Who is little Jade?

Cro Magnon said...

She's the cousin of two of my grandsons. My daughter and her friend are married to brothers.

I haven't been up to the barn for a while, but I quite expect they have been playing.

They're great fun; albeit quite tiring.

Did you go kayaking with them?

Tried a dark room and computer games?

Cro Magnon said...

No,I'm having a rest day.... I need it.

They all have 'tablets', and are restricted to only a short while each day.

I hope there is opportunity to send them all to play in the rain.

Cro Magnon said...

No such luck. Hot and steamy here; they'll have to make do with the pool.

This reminds me of how much fun it was to go to my grandparents house for family events when I was a child. Great memories are being made for everyone.

That's what we're hoping. Mostly it's for cousin bonding; they only see each other every 3 or 4 years.

They really are lucky to have such a lovely family holiday with so many wonderful activities.
Enjoy your day off Cro X

I have always thought that when dogs are around little kids, they're thinking, "This is so much fun!" And Bok is surely in his glory now.

Cro Magnon said...

Some are off back to the UK tomorrow, but they've had a wonderful time.

Dogs and children are perfect partners; especially out in the countryside.

I really like that photo of the children heading down the path on the way to the teddy bears' picnic.

What a glorious summer for you all!

Cro Magnon said...

It's been wonderful so far, and continues until Sunday. What will we do after then?

Anything must be better thanpokemon. There are still a few intelligent children but the percentage is on the wane.

Looks like a lovely family visit, and one to treasure. No visits here this year, but don't mind that as the place is still not up to coping with youngsters.

Put your feet up and relax?

Am I correct in thinking there will soon be another little Cro Magnon in the world? If so, how exciting!

And wishing the'd all come back again, no doubt.

Cro Magnon said...

I don't really understand this Pokemon thing; probably a good thing!

Cro Magnon said...

Nor are we Vera. This year has been a real test of our inventiveness, but we've managed somehow.

Cro Magnon said...

Yes. We're hoping it might be a girl; Kellogg says she thinks it will be. Next March.

I don't know what this is; I'll look it up. Thanks for the suggestion.... all are welcome.
