There's been Cricket, Football, Swimming, Golf, Croquet, Treasure hunting, Kayaking, TV (yes, I know), and good old fashioned walks through the woods.
A dog, several kids, and a woodland track, and all is well with the world. Long walks are best! Little Jade even took her two teddies along.
If they are bored there with all their cousins they have a problem especially with the list of activities.
ReplyDeleteand you didn't mention the bikes.
DeleteThey haven't used the bikes at all; maybe they've forgotten that they're there.
DeleteNo time to be bored, they are busy all day long.
No squabbles, no tears, no fights?
ReplyDeleteNot yet. A few 'huffs', but they are soon remedied. Kayaking today.
DeleteWho is little Jade?
ReplyDeleteShe's the cousin of two of my grandsons. My daughter and her friend are married to brothers.
DeleteNo ping pong?
ReplyDeleteI haven't been up to the barn for a while, but I quite expect they have been playing.
DeleteBok must be very happy too.
ReplyDeleteEcstatic!
DeleteHow blessed they are to have such a childhood..and I can imagine how happy you are to be surrounded so.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't ask for more.
DeleteShades of Swallows and Amazons ...... And the jungle drums are telling of a new addition ?!!!!!! XXXX
ReplyDeleteHa ha. Yes, more good news!
DeleteHave they all got your address on their T shirts - especially those Teddies ?
ReplyDeleteNot this year; they did last year!
DeleteAbsolutely smashing. Can't wait for my own grandchildren, but of course i'm going to have to :)
ReplyDeleteJean
They're great fun; albeit quite tiring.
DeleteDid you go kayaking with them?
ReplyDeleteNo,I'm having a rest day.... I need it.
DeleteTried a dark room and computer games?
ReplyDeleteThey all have 'tablets', and are restricted to only a short while each day.
DeleteI hope there is opportunity to send them all to play in the rain.
ReplyDeleteNo such luck. Hot and steamy here; they'll have to make do with the pool.
DeleteThis reminds me of how much fun it was to go to my grandparents house for family events when I was a child. Great memories are being made for everyone.
ReplyDeleteThat's what we're hoping. Mostly it's for cousin bonding; they only see each other every 3 or 4 years.
DeleteThey really are lucky to have such a lovely family holiday with so many wonderful activities.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day off Cro X
Some are off back to the UK tomorrow, but they've had a wonderful time.
DeleteI have always thought that when dogs are around little kids, they're thinking, "This is so much fun!" And Bok is surely in his glory now.
ReplyDeleteDogs and children are perfect partners; especially out in the countryside.
DeleteI really like that photo of the children heading down the path on the way to the teddy bears' picnic.
ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious summer for you all!
It's been wonderful so far, and continues until Sunday. What will we do after then?
DeletePut your feet up and relax?
DeleteAnd wishing the'd all come back again, no doubt.
DeleteAnything must be better thanpokemon. There are still a few intelligent children but the percentage is on the wane.
ReplyDeleteI don't really understand this Pokemon thing; probably a good thing!
DeleteLooks like a lovely family visit, and one to treasure. No visits here this year, but don't mind that as the place is still not up to coping with youngsters.
ReplyDeleteNor are we Vera. This year has been a real test of our inventiveness, but we've managed somehow.
DeleteAm I correct in thinking there will soon be another little Cro Magnon in the world? If so, how exciting!
ReplyDeleteYes. We're hoping it might be a girl; Kellogg says she thinks it will be. Next March.
Deletetry geo-caching in just your village
ReplyDeleteI don't know what this is; I'll look it up. Thanks for the suggestion.... all are welcome.
