Rule No 1: ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS ON THE SOFAS.
Lady Magnon forgot to spread the razor wire over her sofa last night, so this is what greeted me when I came downstairs this morning.
Poor Bok doesn't look too comfortable; he'd have been far better off in his cozy, XXL, chew-proof, plastic, snooze-a-while, doggy bed.
But try telling HIM that!

Looks like a perfectly good doggy bed to me I think!
did they jump off guiltily when they saw you - from the look of it I think not
Does she really put razor wire around? (Seriously - how does one keep animals off the sofas?)
Welcome to my world
The places animals choose to sleep is a mystery. I've been observing my cat for sometime now. He seems to never want to sleep in the same place more than 3 or 4 times consecutively. Sometimes he will sleep beside me on the couch. Just when I think that is preferred sleeping place, he sleeps somewhere else.
We usually put chairs on the sofas; she forgot.
I didn't bother. If they'd been there all night there was no point making them get off.
Cats have no sense of logic.
I was given a great bit of advice. To keep dogs off beds, sofas, etc..buy cheap expanding trellis. Pull it out and lay it across the bed/sofa and when not needed, fold it back into itself and slip it under the bed until needed again.
Great idea non?
Trellis sounds better than a chair; I'll suggest it. Thanks.
I find that a strategically placed old blanket means that if the dog sleeps there it is not the end of the world.
There are two in front of the fire.... they lie on them in the evening, but not at night.
They only sleep there because they're not supposed to. (Like kids!) If you invited them to sleep on the sofa they'd be, like, "oh, no, we'll sleep on the floor!" Also like kids, it's a good thing they're cute! :)
While our kids were home no pets were allowed inside. Now that they are grown we have one dog sized cat and a moose sized dog rooming the halls. The kids get ticked every time they visit. Oh well. Remember to hoover the couch before the Mrs comes home
It's always more comfortable where you're not supposed to be.
It seems that they are relaxed and having a comfortable place to sleep in!♥
(I'd love to see how their life is so I'll be your blog's new follower)
Thank god to that. I took the razor wire sentence at face value.
I hope Lady M did not feel too bad about that.
I see what you mean about the ablutions. there is a fly at the front but I guess you have to disrobe for the other.

Aha. I used to do that too. Until I began forgetting and so just threw a huge old (but regularly washed) bedspread on and gave up the cause.
Welcome Ansku. I'll keep you informed about the dogs!
Bwaaahahahahaha! But they're so cute!!
