Good luck?

My luck must be changing. This black cat sat on our doorstep yesterday as if it was trying to tell me something.

"Buy a EuroMillions lottery card" it said.

Perhaps I'll find a valuable diamond ring on the ground, or discover an unknown Matisse in a junk shop. Whatever happens; today is my day!

I'm crossing my fingers, stroking my lucky Rabbit's foot, and caressing my small bronze 'Joan the Wad'.

I shall also re-hang my lucky horseshoe on the outside shed, search for 4 leaf clovers, and avoid the number 13.

If all that doesn't work; I don't know what would.

I wouldn't be without my key ring 'Joan'. I stroke her before my every journey.

I'll have to Google Joan now too. You could adopt that black cat and you'll be blessed by years of good luck.
Billy might like a companion.

Ps funny how if it crosses your path they're bad luck.

Can't wait to hear what befalls you today Cro, hope it's good!

Perhaps I should stop trying to deter the neighbourhood black cat from using my garden as a litter tray then?

One of our 7 cats is black and named: "Midnight".

It's next door's cat; they have two black cats. Maybe it mistook our house for theirs.

It's been good so far. Just back from shopping. No problems and very quiet roads.

Cro Magnon said...

Encourage them, you could be surprised.

When I was small we had a series of black cats, but I'm afraid to say they were all called 'Blackie'.

Well, I certainly hope that good luck embraces you today Crozier. This should include England bearing Wales in Cardiff... which won't be easy.

My grandmother's black cat was called "Nigger".

Good Luck Cro, I hope your supreme optimism is well rewarded!

She'd be clapped in irons these days!

Being almost half-n-half English/Welsh, I'm not sure quite who to support. I suppose it's best to wait till the end, then support the winner!

Cro Magnon said...

Me too. I'm an eternal optimist.

P.S. My "bearing" should have been "beating". Sorry for this heinous error.

My 50p is on England.

Be careful not trip over the lucky cat.

Now that really would be bad luck! I've just seen him up the road.

Today is your lucky day. With all those aids, how could you go wrong?

Cro Magnon said...

It probably was. It was freezing yesterday, and I see frost on the cars this morning too!

Cro Magnon said...

Well, I'm still here, so I do feel lucky.
