Things seen in Brighton yesterday.

Yesterday we took Billy on a long walk down to the sea, and around town.  These were just a few of the things I spotted. Firstly some good advice.

Lucas, Brighton's Green MP.... not too popular it seems.

Seagulls relaxing on top of someone's Mini.

Maybe a beach 'proposal' that went wrong? Billy was suspicious!

I see a dancing man; do you?

No tour of Brighton is complete without a snap of The Pavilion. Still as wonderful as ever.

  1. The man dancing appears to have a goatee and an eye patch and is wearing a hat!

    1. I have no idea what it was. It might have been some tar on the stone, or it might even have been someone's art-work. I left it on the beach.

  2. Wonderful variety of photos. The Pavilion is very exotic.
It's amazing what you find to photo on a walk. Small objects, rejected flowers, phone your Mum back. All very intriguing.

    1. I think it was 'natural', just some tar on a stone.

    1. That's what my wife said, I had to explain that it was Lucas. Yes, the flowers were strange. A fresh bunch of Daffs with a red Rose amongst them, dumped on the beach.

  6. Maybe the flowers were left in memory of someone who had passed away there.

    1. There two men swimming quite a way out at sea, so maybe it was in anticipation!

  7. Yes, I see the dancing man. A day trip to Brighton did not allow us enough time to explore The Pavilion but the exterior was impressive.

    1. The inside is pretty good too. The kitchens are probably my favourite rooms.

  8. I think the little man in the stone is a Morris Dancer. I hope you took the stone home, I would have.

  9. Caroline Lucas must be pretty popular in Brighton as she keeps getting elected. Though I have never voted Green, I admire Caroline Lucas greatly. She is dedicated, articulate and principled - unlike most MPs.

    1. People don't look at her good side, just at the awful mistakes she's made.

    2. A bit like Jared O'Mara, but impossible to find any good side where he was concerned but people still voted for him.

    3. A political version of Billy Bragg. It's amazing anyone would have voted for him.

    4. That's a bit harsh on Billy Bragg.

    5. Can one be too harsh on BB?

  10. The dancing man is straight out of the Black & White Minstrel show!

  11. I saw the dancing man as I flicked through the pictures before reading the post! What a nice walk Billy had...although he was a bit frustrated by the fact that you kept stopping to look at things at take pictures!

    1. It's been a gorgeous day again today, but unfortunately we had to go to a funeral. Otherwise we might have gone down to the sea again (it's only 5 mins away).

  15. Seagulls, make yourselves right at home, why don'cha? Yes, your rock has a dancing man trapped inside, and if I lived in Brighton, the confection known as Brighton Pavilion would be visited every day!
