Anne Murray is a fellow Nova Scotian and she lives there now. I sometimes daydream about returning myself. My favourite of her songs is "Danny's Song".
I didn't realize that she died...and so long ago. I remember that she had a developmentally disabled child that turned her focus from her career to caring for her child.
I think Anne Murray is still alive. At least that is what Google says. I loved her beautiful voice and your post had me looking up her many songs to remind myself of her great talent. Thanks!
Brings me back to my teen aged years in northern Aroostook County, Maine driving my parents' car on back roads around potato fields, getting stuck in snowbanks and drifting snow, and wondering what life would bring me.
I think reports of her demise have been exaggerated.

There is a similar song called Sail Away. Both lovely lyrics bringing the same sentiments.
