After my Tuesday's posting, I'm pleased to announce that Lady Magnon is now on Opium.
Her doc' seemed to think that everything was 'roughly' OK, and has prescribed painkillers.
When I can get her down from the ceiling, I shall also try to make her rest-up for a few days.
Yup, it's the 'Ides of March', and I'm expecting Mr de Quincey to arrive at any moment.

I used to think that 'Opium Dens' were all in the far east.
Or chasing a dragon around the garden.

I used to rub Ibuprofen gel on mine. And a bag of frozen peas.

Why is caffeine in the medication?
Probably to keep her eyes open! I have no idea.
That is really strong and strange.
She's not complaining!
Should be the other way round - 10mg of Paracetamol and 300 mg of opium.

Like Co Codamol, Lamaline is an opiate ..... our son won’t touch them. Is Lady M in a great deal of pain ? They are addictive to some but I’m being OTT ..... I’m sure Lady M will take them in moderation. XXXX

I had a shot of morphine once in the ER (bad gallbladder attack) and it was amazing! Stopped the pain immediately and I felt like I was floating in space. I can see how people who misuse it get addicted! But nothing beats it for pain. Lady M should be feeling great by now! 😁
Now that is a real painkiller. I wonder if they'd give it without a prescription here like they do everything else. I might try for husband's endless pain complaining
Typical, isn't it. Her pain has now subsided, so she'll be keeping them in stock, in case it comes back again. She's sticking to the Ibuprofen.

I had some diamorphine tabs once for a back problem, and I felt the same. I floated around for days.
Just the Opium might do the job! Ask on your nearest street corner.
She's a lot better already. She'll be keeping the pills in case it re-occurs.
Well, I'm so glad she won't be in pain. Good on her doctor!!
I go to pain management for a surgically damaged sciatic nerve, bone on bone knees & hip, plus a painful autoimmune disorder and I can barely get two a day of the mildest painkillers available because of the damn drug addicts in the usa. I have to hobble around on crutches in continual moderate to severe pain daily. The world is a crazy place! Her medication is not even available here. Have a great day! xo
Can you not buy painkillers from a reliable on-line source? Here you can buy almost anything in any quantities.
If I could traverse the dark web, I could probably buy some. With my luck, I'd buy sugar pills from a narc & get arrested! The U.S. is so confused...pot is legal in over half the states, medical pot in three-quarters of the states & the rest of us are screwed. I'd rather use marijuana, something I could grow in my backyard, but that's a big NO, too. Total clusterfuck! xo
Strangely, I've just been listening to a report about painkiller usage in the USA. It seems that the use of strong painkillers has gone up by over 80% over the past 6 years! Very odd!
In many instances opioids drugs are over prescribed and become very addictive for some people. I was prescribed some for pain one time. I took one and could hardly get up off the couch. I really don't understand the abuse of these drugs to the point of addiction. Then again, I have an acquaintance that had to go to drug rehab after becoming addicted to painkillers after back surgery.
