Anyone who has any connection with Norfolk... especially in the Eastern half of the county**.... tends to get somewhat obsessed with the Canaries' fortunes.... or lack thereof!! Because successive boards have been into the "what can we cash in on" thought pattern... the best players tend to get sold on... the moment someone makes a bid for a player, they sell them... it isn't quite like that, as Rachel will probably fire back.... but as someone who has followed their fortunes and misfortunes since 1964... it certainly seems so!! Up and down like an incontinent pensioner!!
**King's Lynners have a split choice... we also NEED to support the Linnets!! They just aren't in the same league, tho'... sorry Linnets, you aren't!!
Expect wrath from Rachel; she's an Arsenal fan. I used to follow the fortunes of Brighton; but they were similar. Anyone with any talent was flogged-off at once.
Hahahahaha .... SO funny !! Rachel and I will be on tenterhooks this afternoon ..... Spurs v Arsenal !!!!! My husband and I will be jumping from Rugby, football and the Davis Cup tennis all afternoon !!!! XXXX
Arsenal.... Arsenal!!! What is a Norfolk person doing supporting the Gunners?! Unless of course, Rachel, you are so disolloooshunned by the ups and downs of the Canaries... then you are forgiven!!
Forge, I have personal issues with Norwich City and Delia, who couldnt organise a piss up in a brewery, from working in the bar there many years ago. It's a long story. I have followed football in general since i was a child and was fascinated by the culture of it especially in Europe and Russia. I went to London when i was 17 to work and started following Arsenal and have followed them ever since. I wear a hair shirt for most of the season.
I need it explaining to me too. It's a very different game to when I used to play. I notice that referees are always explaining infringements to the players these days too; no-one knows the rules any more (apart from the referees).

Now I understand every thing:)
Wonderful result, a win for The Arsenal!
I miss this kind of game - and humour - on the TV.
Once it's explained, it's all so easy!
I think they cheated.
Absolutely brilliant Cro ! My sides are still aching from having laughed so much. I shall watch it again, once I've recovered !
Hilarious! I loved the dribbling. The referee was definitely Italian, the mother there to defend him! Greetings Maria x
One of my all time favourite Harry Enfield sketches, right up there with the Two Ronnies 'fork handles'.
I was much the same!
Well that gives me a good laugh this morning. I wont be bloody laughing this afternoon that's for sure.
A cheerful start to the day!
French mothers are much the same.
'Fork handles' has now become part of everyday spoken English. I bet they never imagined that!
I shall be watching Rugby.
A chuckle at breakfast is always good.
Now I understand all about Soccer!!! Watched a few hilarious clips that followed on from that on You tube.
I try to avoid the following suggested clips; Id be there all day. I'm just sending you an Email.

I think the Rugby is next weekend; I was looking forward to watching it this afternoon too.
Now that's a soccer game I would enjoy watching.
Me too; my kinda game.
Spurs v Arsenal only on BT Sport again, GRRRRR
Yes Cro .... we thought it was this weekend but its fortnightly isn't it ? That's good for us as there's the football and tennis to watch !!!! XXXX
I think I shall stick with the skinny Crank's explanation of soccer: "It's the beautiful sport." ;-)
So they tell us; personally I find Rugby beautifuller.
Are you in Bath ?
I loved that. Very clever. We need Harry to explain rugby to us, now.

Yes, I've hit hard times.
