How dare he!!!

That nasty man Putin has a bloody cheek to admonish the Ukrainian Military for making incursions into the Russian territory of Kursk.

War isn't one-sided. If you kill, then expect to be killed. If you invade territory, then expect to be invaded in return. The only thing I cannot understand is how Moscow and/or St Petersburg hasn't been targeted. After some serious bombing, Putin could have been given the opportunity to halt his aggression or lose more cities, and I'm certain he would have waved a white flag at once.

From Kursk, Moscow doesn't seem too far away, surely a volley of hefty Cruise missiles could hit The Kremlin?

I know there's no comparison but in August of 1945 the Japanese were given the option to surrender or suffer more devastation; 6 days later they capitulated.

p.s. On a lighter note, I was very pleased to see that some Honey that Susie bought before she returned to Blighty came all the way from Ukraine. And very delicious it is too!

Thank you Ukraine, and thank you to the Ukrainian Bees.

  1. He dares because we have let him. We can see he does what he wants. Since the beginning of the war I have followed the reports by the people on the ground fighting.
My family is Polish and Japanese not much family left. Destroyed.
Poland and Ukraine same war, same history.

    1. Of course, you are right. He has been allowed to get-away with far too much. He has even had people killed on British soil for which he will never face justice.

  2. I wish that Putin would have a massive and fatal heart attack but wonder who or what would replace him.

    1. That is always the big question. Another Khrushchev maybe?

  3. The hotel price came from the hotel’s website. For example you can book a double superior for €141 on 24th September and a double classic is even cheaper at €118.

    4. Not just the window - the wallpaper as well. Was pretty obvious and took less than a minute on Google to find.

People don’t realise how much they give away on blogs

  5. I must admit that after reading this latest news I thought "what does he expect" - you wage war in someone else's territory and eventually they'll hit back . His country are finally beginning to suffer the consequences of his aggression.

  6. I's just a 'special military operation' that the Ukrainians are carrying out, can't see why Putin would be upset by that.... On different subject, I think you mentioned in one of your postings something about Boleskine House, so I thought you'd be interested in this: https://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/news/pictures-interior-design-for-boleskine-house-renovation-pro-358357/

    1. My youngest owned The Coach House which he intended to renovate. There was (and possibly still is) a lot of local ill-feeling about the place. He sold.

Yes, one forgets that Putin was so adamant that he wasn't going to war; just a quiet day's out 'special military operation'.

  7. Ukraine is now better equipped militarily. In July 20 F-16 (of an eventual 79) Fighter jets were delivered to Ukraine. The rest are promised by Denmark and the Netherlands and will come in batches during 2025. These are well equipped war planes that VZ has been asking for. The F-16s' arrival marks the start of building a NATO-standard Airforce. The F-16 are equipped with Link-16, a NATO tactical data-link that allows secure communications.

    1. I think we might see some serious escalation from Ukraine in the next few weeks. Take the upper hand.
