Salad Days.

You can tell the temperature's rising because salads appear at lunchtime on the Cro table.

The substantial vegetable soups will be put on hold for a while, and out comes the Paté, simple salad, and even some Garlic bread. It really does feel as if Summer is on it's way.

It's only 17 C today, but it feels like 25 C.

  2. It's great here further along the south coast, our neighbours are having a BBQ, we can't be bothered to walk to their garden, so sat listening to their music.

    1. We had the Brighton Marathon today as well, so the beach area was over-full. I stayed at home.

  3. We have similar temperatures here. Lovely sitting in the sun and I love the longer warmer nights.
    Your summery lunch looks delicious

    1. I quite expect it'll soon change; it always does. We are just being 'tempted'.

    1. It's still cold in the mornings here. When I took Billy for his morning walk yesterday it was 3 C; I expect it'll be the same this morning.

  5. Salad is just soup without the broth and cold. :)
I'd tuck right in to that fare. :)

    1. I imagine we'll be back to mid-day soup again before long. This lovely weather is bound to end soon. We haven't had any rain for weeks.

  6. Freezing up here on the Norfolk coast- blowing an east wind as usual, we don't get spring until mid-May! On the water rations for the three day event, why not fill your empty wine bottles with tap water in readiness?
