Black Lab' at the Vet's.

I shall be showing this video to Billy. I hope he learns a lesson from it.

I adore Black Labs. This, I think, shows why.

That had a 'sting in the tail'

I know very few humans who would be so sanguine.

That's a very well trained dog.

Yes, I'm sorry about the last bit.

I go for a blood test in about one hour; I know I shall squeal.

Almost too well trained. Mine have never been like that.

I adore Labs. too, any colour, although all five of mine have been yellow! Two were equally as good at the vets as the one in the video, the other three always had to be dragged there. It took half a bag of treats to persuade one to get out of the car!

I think that that black Labrador is what is known as a Zen Dog. So chilled out.

I felt uncomfortable watching that cro

Lovely Labrador! Ours love the vets because the vets - and the nurses - and the receptionists - all make a big fuss of them, accompanied by biscuits, of course.
You've got eight pints of blood, so you won't miss a little . . .

We had a yellow one (Monty), he was OK with the Vet' but was always very pleased to get home.

Cro Magnon said...

Maybe he'd been doped!

Were you waiting for Bonzo to take his arm off?

I'm just back from having blood taken, and I can assure you that I was less well behaved than the dog; but only a little bit.

Delightful dog - he obviously knew what was coming and had implicit trust in the vet. Absolutely perfect - loved the kisses.

I also adore black labs. My own black lab died 2 weeks ago, suddenly and unexpectedly, right before my eyes, at home, in less than 90 seconds. The vet suspects a cardiac event/clot/aneurysm. It hurts even more as he was only 14mths old. I feel like I will never get over it. He was seemingly a young, fit, healthy dog.

He's a lovely dog. Wonderful to see such trust.

I'm very sorry to hear that. It's horrible when our lovely pets die. Our Monty was just 4 when he was 'put down'; we think he was poisoned by a neighbour.

What a sweet Lab. The Vet liked having a lovely willing patient too. Blood draws can be tricky and not always easy. My neighbors have Black Labs and they are wonderful dogs.

My parents had a black lab who adored licorice. When a grandchild walked by, he couldn't control himself. He quickly snagged the licorice from her hand, ducked his head under a coat hanging over the back of a chair so that no one could see him eating it. All done in less time that it took to type this. Pairing the two different videos was uncomfortable.

I worked in the Veterinary field for 20 years and Labs are great dogs... not all as trusting as that one, but one of my favorite breeds.

I wouldn't mind three kisses from my Doctor.

No cro, I thought it could be seen as rather racist

A pair of Black Labs is almost the pinnacle of dog keeping. Fabulous dogs.

Yes, our Monty was a lovely boy.

I might decline from mine; he's not my type.

Clever dog! The trick is always never to look at the needle.
