A colleague of mine was on Candid Camera in Singapore. He had sneaked into town one afternoon when he was supposed to be at his desk. There was a Candid Camera stunt going on, with people being charged for riding up an escalator. Payment was at the top, so it caused a bit of a traffic jam and people were just paying up in order to get out of the way. My colleague was really worried that his boss would see it, but fortunately it wasn't actually broadcast. Maybe not funny enough!
I will say again, our Candid Camera was much better This is American humour, not great British humour. That barely made me smile for more than a second.
This is so funny Cro, love it, thank you for posting it...I'll send it to my 84 year old mother to give her a good laugh too. Any more that you can dig out will be most welcome!
This was when reality was real. I found it very funny. British and American humor is different in some ways, but funny is funny and we all need to laugh more and criticize less.
I note you have some people who feel that you have been hard done by by my comment and have leaned over to tell you how amazingly funny the US Candid Camera is. They do not know us very well do they!
Ah, the good old days...I look around now & see cameras on the stop lights, in every building, in everyone's hand and I miss the days of privacy. I get a kick every time I Google my address in the country because it always brings up a distant neighbor's property. Tee-hee. I'm anonymous! (Sort of). Great post, Cro! xo
We don't have all that CCTV here, but I know that in the UK it's everywhere. In fact your every move is on film, and could be even more so with cameras in TV's and (of course) computers. BIG BROTHER.

The boys were very funny, and fairly certainly not gay.
A gay version would have been fun.
That was adorable! I'd forgotten how funny and sweet some of those early Candid Camera shows were.
This one is fun on many levels. Hormones everywhere!

Pathetic. If you laughed at this I am surprised.
The first candid cameras were ”candid” because people really didn't know they were being joked on.
Greetings Maria x
The UK Candid Camera was way ahead of this.
The funny thing was that the obedient Singaporeans paid up, whilst the expats were furious and argumentative!
Priceless.
I wouldn't say I 'laughed', but I did find it very amusing. All those kids being so easily seduced; I remember it well.
That's why there's no crime in Singapore; people do what they're told!
Surely that was the case always!
I had a teacher like that once - she was called Miss Pringle and became pregnant after a couple of terms.
I don't know who are funnier, the boys or the girls.

The head boy of my house (as a new boy), was expelled for having an affair with the headmaster's secretary. Very exotic; I hope he put it on his CV.
I didn't get to see much of it, but I do remember a few real classics (the English ones).
Macron didn't mind detention.

Hilarious. I didn't have a crush on a teacher, but a boy in the sixth form was WOW !
And was made to stand erect.
I hope your Mum enjoys it; I'm sure she will.
We had very few female teachers; the ones we did have were DRAGONS.

As they always said in the Reader's Digest; Laughter is the best medicine.
Yes, you're a beast. I shall be blubbing until supper time.
