I am the eggman, goo goo a'joob.

Now that we no longer keep our own hens, we buy our eggs from the gentleman above in the blue coat.

His weekly Saturday stall, at our tiny local market, is next door to the man from whom I buy my wine (you can just see his van extreme left). All very conveniently grouped.

And NO, before you ask, that's not me under the beret!

We buy our eggs from him while the wine man is busy filling our plastic bottles. Very convenient.

That is my kind of market where stall vendors sell their own fresh products, only what they produce and not vans full of stuff.

There are a couple of veg' stalls who sell Peruvian Avocados and Lebanese Potatoes, but generally they are similar small stalls with home produced wares. It's only a tiny market.

Must be good to buy fresh local produce direct from the producer, a tradition sadly abandoned here.

I like so much that kind of small markets, i don't know why we don't have it here in our rural area.

We buy three-quarters of our food at the Saturday market. I've just had an egg for breakfast and it was delicious. And importantly it didn't contain friponil .

It's a nice little market with a few elderly stall holders who sell their own produce. In season we can buy all sorts of products; from Asparagus to Strawberries.

France is very proud of its market culture; and rightly so.

I shall do so tomorrow; this morning I finished last night's curry!

I think John (Lennon) knew what they all meant.

I doubt it.

I sometimes buy eggs from a chicken and goose smallholding near here which has a massive German Shepherd guarding them. Your eggs look much more relaxed.

This is the guy who sold me nothing but double-yolkers this Spring.

Love the title. You and Rachel took me back a way.
Your market sounds just like ours. Won't be long till we get the new wine.

I want to have hens someday, there's nothing better than a super-fresh egg!

I am relieved to hear it as he looks about ninety four from behind.

Wine and eggs! what more do you need!

We won't be having much new wine this year, a late frost wiped out most of the young vine flowers.

Ours were killed off by next-door's 3 dogs.

That's why I mentioned it. I might look old, but not that old.

A very good baker about 50 metres away!

Local fresh totally free range eggs are one of the things that incomers here seem to produce in great numbers. It's a shame about the wine although we have a number of local mini-breweries.
