      BR heard some rumours about him and pulled the ads. That was in about 1983. Everyone was too scared to follow them up because he was treated as some kind of god.

      I recently heard Tony Blackburn saying that everyone at Radio 1 and BBC 1 hated him.

    Everyone has known about Jimmy Saville since the beginning. That is why they all feel guilty about not blowing the whistle.

      I had certainly heard about his visits to some children's home in either Jersey or Guernsey, way before the press stated mentioning it.
