How many children do you know who bring you flowers when they visit?
Our neighbour S brought us a bunch of Daisies when she came to visit recently.
She really is the most charming and delightful girl, she brightens our day! She's been a regular visitor since she was about 2, and has always felt at home here. She just cycles the 300 metres or so from her home, comes indoors, has a chat for a while, plays with Bok, then goes home; almost as if we were her grandparents. She feels totally at home here, which is wonderful.
She adores Bok, and Bok adores her.
Everything is good when she comes to visit.

How sweet! What a precious little girl. You can be her honorary grandpa.
That's how we feel.
Children know when they are welcomed and loved; her sweet way to show she is happy to visit there.
Greetings Maria x
She's a cutie.
Children and dogs know where good people are and they are always welcomed there.
I expect she'll come to see the baby Hedgehog over the weekend.
That is so sweet. She clearly enjoys her visits.
How sweet. I hope you didn't give her any more of those parmesan biscuits to try!
I'm pretty sure she does.
She probably told her Mum that we were trying to poison her.
All who bring flowers, especially children and good men, are good people!
I agree 100%. It's the sign of a kind heart.
My little boy neighbour (7) has taken over looking after my hens without being asked. He lets them out, collects the eggs, shuts them in at night and always comes in for a chat. He has made a huge difference to my life since I was widowed.
That's really nice Weave. He and S would probably make a great team!
How lovely ..... not so many young people would make the effort for us oldies !!!! Do the younger generation in your area have to move to big cities to get work when they get older Cro ? XXXX
Unfortunately they do. Since we've been living here there was a trend to stay, but now they all go off again. I don't know what'll happen to all the farms with no-one to carry the baton.
And she brought flowers. How fortunate you are to have such nice neighbors with a daughter who has kind, thoughtful heart.
What is wrong with her? Why is she not at home glued to device? It is really good to see children doing normal human interaction things.
I loved it when Green-Eyes was that age, before she understood what I was really like.
She has charming parents too.
She has a bike, and a wonderful dress sense. I think she has a great future.
The age of reason.
What a delightful neighborhood friendship.
What a lovely young girl, she must have wonderful parents.
What a nice place you live.
cheers, parsnip
Some people just gel. Rupali who was a lodger adores my mum and vice versa. She will fly up from London get a train then bus to arrive at mums house without saying in the Scottish highlands, just walk in and makes herself at home, mum treasures her!.
Rupali was my lodger.
Yesterday she came with a friend to see our baby Hedgehog.
Good parenting rubs off!
That's wonderful. Somehow those relationships are by far the best.
