My favourite flower. I asked the florist if I could have daisies in my wedding bouquet. She said not as they weren't in season and suggested lilies, roses etc. I pointed out that they weren't in season in february too. I settled on dried flowers, which people thought really weird at the time, but I thought I could keep them as a keepsake. I sat on them and crushed them a few weeks later!.

Optimistic Cro!
The difference between an optimist and a pessimist, is that the optimist enjoys himself whilst waiting for the inevitable! I AM that optimist!
This is a daily, optimistic, 'photos and comments' blog. I make no judgements (only occasionally), just notes. If you wish to comment in any way at all, please feel free. Everything and everyone (except the obdurate and dictatorial) is very welcome.
I was born just south of London, but for the past 50 years I've lived in S W France. I am a painter by profession, and writer by desire. Lady Magnon and I live between an ancient cottage in a tiny village in perfectly tranquil French countryside, and a bijou townhouse in Brighton UK. In France we have plenty of fruit trees, all situated amongst a view that takes the breath away, in the UK we have a handkerchief sized patio. We also have a Border Collie called Billy. I try to treat our planet with respect, and encourage others to do likewise (without preaching).
Contentment is a glass of red, a plate of charcuterie, and a slice of good country bread. Perfect!
How pretty! I'm sure Rachel will love it.
ReplyDeleteI thought of her immediately I saw it.

ReplyDeleteI love daisies too - such a simple flower and all the better for it.
ReplyDeleteI spotted the daisy behind her ear ;)
DeleteNice for Rachel.
ReplyDeleteMust be grand to gaze at fields of daisies. I've always thought they were happy flowers...or delivered happiness.
ReplyDelete(I will now be keeping an eye on the Champagne story's developments.)
The fields are awash this year. Lovely.
DeleteI started crying. Thank you so much. You don't know how much this means to me.xxx
ReplyDeleteLater. You are a very kind man. We have just eaten. Peter bought me a bundle of asparagus.

ReplyDeleteWhen we were kids we'd always do a ..."he loves me , he loves me not" until all the petals were gone. We really believed in the magic!
