Pecking order.

The 'under' boss.

The butler.

Such is life for us humans.

    1. Funnily enough; yes. They sit looking at me, and demand bits of bacon or egg.

  2. I have "butler's chair" just like yours, but mine is grey. Good thing, I'm very messy. Love your home, especially that bar area.

    1. Every home needs a bar. My chair has seen better days; I must wash the covers.

  4. Boss, under boss and butler. What is Lady M's title?

  5. Does The Boss still have to negotiate the overnight upturned chairs on his sofa? Perhaps you have lost that 'fight'.

    1. I've given up, and now just supply the washable sheets. I was on the losing side.

    1. The floor tiles come from a small nearby tile-maker. We also use their roof tiles. Nothing industrial in this house.

  10. Your cat is the under-boss!? Crikey. not at ours. The cat (Dixie) is definitely in charge and the dogs know their place , as do we.

    1. In spirit he's the boss, but in size he's obliged to take 2nd place. Not that he would admit to it.

  11. I love your colourful home. It looks so cosy and very friendly. I am jealous of that drawer - I don't know what you call that furniture in English.

    1. It's called a 'dresser'; some also have an upper part with shelves. It's extremely heavy.
