Charles Trenet - Que Reste-T-il De Nos Amours

Trenet singing one of his most evocative, and nostalgic, songs.

I'm sure that even non-French speakers will enjoy this; in fact you'll probably be humming it for the rest of the day, especially if you play it twice. "Que reste-t-il de nos amours...... tra la la."

  1. I thought he looked a bit like George Formby. He certainly doesn't sing like him. Thank you.

    1. He wrote several real 'classics'; La Mer is one of them.

  5. Thanks for the warning, Cro. The last thing I need right now is an earworm.

    1. Me too, Brigitta, but I haven't listened to him for a while. This one has to be my favourite.

  8. Franklin and I want to learn the lyrics so we can wander the neighborhood, singing in French. People already stare at us. I might as well give them a real reason to stare.

    Love,
    Janie
