Thank you all so much for your very kind thoughts yesterday. Monty is now resting amid a triangle of 3 Peach trees at the South end of Haddock's (my veg garden). He was buried along with his favourite ball, several other dog-toys, a few flowers, and some biscuits for the journey. He looked so beautiful; as if curled-up asleep.
I couldn't bring myself to reply to all your comments yesterday; but I can assure you that they were very much appreciated.
Thank you all again. Cro and Lady Magnon x
Oh that photo. I just want to throw my arms around his neck and inhale that lovely doggy smell.. XXXReplyDelete
I want to add my condolences to those of everyone else. Such a beautiful boy and your deep love of him (and Bok) has always been evident. xxxReplyDelete
I thought of you and your family all day yesterday. Take care of each other.ReplyDelete
I'm glad that Monty has a peaceful place to rest, and with all his favorite things. Now I'm crying again.....ReplyDelete
So very sorry, Cro. Our animals take our hearts with them when they leave us.ReplyDelete
What a lovely photo.ReplyDelete
It is ok that you did not reply, you were in the thoughts of so many here.ReplyDelete
Oh how very lovely....he'll always be walking with you now...ReplyDelete
My deepest sympathies to you, Lady Magnon and Bok.ReplyDelete
To anybody new to this blog we are talking about a dog.ReplyDelete
It sounds like a lovely resting place for him too xReplyDelete
We didn't expect a reply Cro, I thought about you a lot yesterday. We have a little pet resting place under the lilac tree, pets leave such a gap when they leave us.ReplyDelete
Always near. Bless you for loving him so. DebReplyDelete
I always bury my dogs with their favourite toys and also with a few biscuits and a flower or too - I think it eases the pain a little.ReplyDelete
Have been thinking of you all as I know just how hard it is. I love that he's with the peach trees that you planted when your grandchildren were born.ReplyDelete
… and, this is what I find amazing about blogging. I was thinking of you all yesterday and I've never met you !!!!
Much love. XXXX
He is close to everything he loves now...his Mom and Dad, his best friend and all those lovely places to walk and sniff. Rest in Peace Monty.ReplyDelete
Hang in there Cro, we are all with you. This is the awful part of having pets. Just cherish the joy he gave you.ReplyDelete
Yes Cro, they do look wonderful when they are 'asleep'.ReplyDelete
We left kitty in her basket for 24 hours to let her little spirit depart and she looked so peaceful.
The amount of happiness our pets give us is equaled by the sadness we feel when we lose them.ReplyDelete
I am so sad for you, Cro.
Oh, Cro, i'm so sorry to read this. I've been away from Blogland for a few days and am just catching up now.ReplyDelete
Hugs to you and Lady M, and Bok, too!
So sad to hear about Monty. Love to you, Lady M and Bok. Jan Bx.ReplyDelete
So sorry Cro....xReplyDelete
I am so, so very sorry, and am teary eyed. I send healing blessings and karma to help heal a broken heart to both of you, Mr. M and the Lovely Lady M.ReplyDelete
I'm so sorry to read this. Safe home to Monty and strength to you and your family.ReplyDelete
