The Japanese Sisters.

I was recently sent this photo of one of my paintings (thank you), which I haven't seen for yonks.

It is entitled 'The Japanese Sisters', and was painted circa 1985.

I don't think there's much more to say about it, other than it measures 4 ft by 4 ft.

Very intriguing picture. The colors are also strong and beautiful.

It is not like my swimming pool drawings.

To me it is most unusual. I like the little details, frog and the seagull.
Sort of painting I would have to sit opposite and muse upon

Fascinating to see another of your paintings. Very whimsical.

I like it. I am a little puzzled by the pointy nose. 4' x 4' is quite a large work.

It reminds me of Cirque du Soleil and was painted before Cirque du Soleil existed ( I think .... I just looked them up. They started in 1984 as street entertainers so I doubt you were influenced by them !!!!! ) You are so good at painting the human form ..... when I painted, I found getting the proportions right very difficult. I always liked using strong bold colour.

I'd forgotten all about the Frog... I rather like him.

'Whimsical' is my middle name.

The Japanese are very keen on masks; rather like the Italians.

I always thought getting human proportions right was a question of preference. If I thought someone's shoulders were too wide, etc, I'd change them.

She should wear a bigger wetsuit.

Which one?

A smaller splash.

Certainly intriguing. I was trying to imagine what the frog was thinking and why he was near a swimming pool which was chlorinated. I always did have this inconvenient practical streak in me.

He was probably waiting to be kissed.

Two questions, not a trap: How long did it take you (after conception/idea) to actually paint the above from start to finish? How much did you sell it for?

There is method in my seeming randomness. I'll explain once I have received your answer.

I DO like that picture!!

But is it art?

Cro Magnon said...

It probably took a week to paint; and it hasn't sold.

Thank you.

Probably not, John!

My husband and I have been married for about 7 years now. We were happily married with two children, a boy and a girl. 3 months ago I started to notice strange behavior from him and a few weeks later I discovered that my husband was seeing someone. He started coming home late from work, he doesn't care about me or the kids anymore, sometimes he goes out and doesn't even come home for about 2-3 days. I did everything I could to correct this problem but to no avail. I became very worried and needed help. One day when I was surfing the Internet, I came across a website that suggested that Dr. Padman could help resolve marital problems, restore broken relationships, and so on. So I felt like I had to give it a try. I contacted him and he made a spell for me. Two days later, my husband came to see me and apologized for the wrongs he had committed and promised to never do it again. Since then, everything has returned to normal. My family and I live happily together again. All thanks to Dr. Padman. If you need a spellcaster capable of casting a spell that really works, I suggest you contact him. He will not disappoint you.
