BBC Cuts.

Things are getting bad at Aunty's.

They're using old curtains again for their (fem) news presenters; this time even utilising the draw-string as a collar.

Come off it Beeb.... send the gal to Primark. Let her buy a decent frock for a change!

  1. Ah, the benefits of being a man.

  2. I've just remembered about a male tv morning presenter here who wore the same suit and tie for two years and nobody noticed. Sometimes women's clothing can be quite distracting on tv, especially when it is a bit unconventional. Btw, some nasty spam at ZedBed.

    1. I'm afraid that 'spam' has suddenly turned up on my last 6 posts. This one really is a disgrace. Thanks for the tip-off.

  3. It's funny because before I read the text I thought "What is she wearing!".

    1. We both couldn't believe it. It was really dreadful, the photo doesn't do it justice.

  4. Why don't they just wear a skirt and white blouse? Next there will be complaints that it is sexist to discuss clothing of female presenters. Well she is asking for it. I don't know who she is, whether she is a newsreader or what, but if it is her job and she gets up and gets dressed for it every morning and presents news, she should put on a business suit and be off to work and think about the news not what she is going to wear.

    1. I imagine it's the BBC wardrobe dep't who dress her. I can't understand why she doesn't say 'NO'.

    2. I imagine she wears her own clothes.

  5. I take it that was Naga Munchetty. She's done a lot of financial/business journalism - on Wiki if anyone is interested. Whilst I'm not keen on that particular blouse, I think they deliberately go for relative informality on breakfast TV. It probably cost a fortune!

    1. We have seen her wearing some real disasters. The one above was a shocker; even if it was expensive.

  6. Naga Munchetty said that the white dress code at Wimbledon was wrong and that they should all wear what they like !!!!! She made me really cross saying that as I think the players look so good in white ..... we are dropping every standard in the book.... and, she has the nerve to say that and then wear a dress like that !!!! XXXX

    1. I couldn't agree more. Standards are slipping everywhere; at least Wimbledon is doing their bit. I thought the Williams girl looked dreadful in her all-black outfit.

  7. I don't usually take a lot of notice, believing they should wear what they like as long as it is clean and tidy but I must admit I did think this was a bit over the top, as was a rather similar gold ensemble she wore a couple of days earlier.

    1. I don't usually take notice either, but occasionally her outfits just SCREAM at you.
