1. Remove the heads from some Daffodils.
2. Move them about 3 metres away, then drop them on the ground.
3. Re-attach headphones, put on backpack, stare blankly at phone, clutch plastic Coffee cup.
4. Walk away feeling reinvigorated, clever, and proud.

Why? Seriously just why?
ReplyDeleteI just saw it this afternoon, and despaired. Why on earth would anyone do that???
DeleteOh hell. Why? This is just insane.
ReplyDeleteI don't think flowers like daffs growing outside should be cut for any reason. Leave them where they're growing for everyone to enjoy.
Obviously not everyone agrees
Sadly there are idiots everywhere. In itself it's not a great 'disaster', but it just makes you wonder what goes through people's minds.
DeleteAgree. Over the last few years, my partner and I have planted a couple of large bags of daffodils on the verges coming into our village. It is wonderful to see them come up in the spring.
DeletePlant some in the fall Cro and watch them grow.
There are certainly other parts of the churchyard that could do with some. That's a good idea!
DeleteWhen you get back from France next year buy a big bag and plant. My two cents worth is don’t go for fancy ones. The good thing about daffs is squirrels leave them alone and the daffs multiply.
DeleteWe have done a bag or two each year and it is great seeing them come up each year. Think about how the grass is cut so that the daffs can come back.
