The Wisteria is now in full flower. The colour of the flowers is much better than in the photo.
My Courgette seeds have sprouted. I won't plant them out for a while.
And one final job of winter/spring was to re-hang the old gate at Haddock's. It now works again; you should have seen it before!!!

Your wisteria is even more lush than the hedge near me. The smell must be intoxicating.
You have reminded me I should put my pumpkin seeds in to germinate.
The Wisterias are wonderful this year; maybe because I pruned them back very hard last Autumn.
They are a much better colour than in the photo; much 'bluer'.
Our courgette seedlings are about the same size but have had to be protected from our sudden cold snap. Only 2C here this morning with ice and wintry showers forecast. Brrr...
The wisteria is great. I really dislike gates that scrape on the ground and or have to be lifted.

They look nice healthy seedlings, like you say not ready to go out yet.
One of the things I did was to dig away underneath, not it no longer scrapes along the ground, and it swings closed by itself.
I took them indoors last night, it was 2 C here this morning too.
Their future patch isn't dug-over yet, and it's as hard as rock. We need a good downpour.
Who was Haddock? Perhaps it was that grumpy old seafaring chap from the "Tin-Tin" cartoons?
Your Wisteria is A-MAZ-ING ! So beautiful. It’s so annoying that a photograph never gets the true ‘look’ /colour. I often take photographs of sunsets, the garden, flowers and they never look as good as in real life although your wisteria still looks beautiful. XXXX
It's trying to snow here. Small flakes whirling around in the wind. The Wisteria is a month away.

In fact the whole thing looks far more spectacular all round, the photo doesn't do it justice and I couldn't be bothered to take another one.
I've just been speaking to Kimbo in London, and he showed me the few falling snowflakes. I don't think he'll be skiing tomorrow.
Such a lovely photo of your adorable building draped in Wisteria. Your post yesterday reminded me that I'm past due for a treat of fresh scallops. I also rarely indulge because of the expense and never order them in a restaurant because they're typically overcooked and tragically sad. An arctic wind is blowing today and at least six weeks until we can trust the weather around here, so it's nice to see your wee courgette plants peeking up.
It has been snowing here since 10.00 am but its very light . .... hardly anything to speak of. I thought it was blossom blowing off of the tree at first ! XXXX

I can almost smell that wisteria. Expecting a frost here tonight.
Here the pollen is being blown off the Pine Trees in huge clouds; the air is all hazy.
I've just come out from an 'afternoon nap' in the tower. Billy brought a ball for me to throw for him, and woke me up.
Tuesday and Wednesday nights are supposed to be frosty, but I'll cover all my tender plants again tonight.
We used to have a beautiful Wisteria bush on the back patio when we first moved to Texas. Unfortunately it also brought bees... and we had 2 toddlers that played on that patio... so it had to go. If I remember right, it was a hard plant to get rid of. But I agree they are beautiful with all those lavender blossoms.
We had snow this morning Cro - look after those courgettes in case it comes your way.

One of the reasons I removed a Grape Vine from the house was because of Hornets. I replaced it with an extension of the Wisteria in the photo. I'm not so worried about Bees
I'm being cautious for the next two days. We have -1 C forecast for tomorrow night.
It's on our 'tower'. The pump House is very similar but smaller.
It's particularly good this year due to my hard pruning over winter (I think).
All our fruit trees are in flower. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there are no more hard frosts.
I do believe Wisteria thrives better when pruned harshly every year. Mine grows on a massive arbor and every year I think I have been a bit brutal with my pruning but it comes back with the most beautiful long trusses of flowers regardless.
