Corners of the Garden.

The entrance to house and garden.

Back wall of 'tower'

Outside the bathroom window,

Recycling boxes. Not much in them.

Pot with annuals.

More pots with more annuals.

Part of my mowing duties.

More of my mowing duties, with Billy and dark clouds.

And finally, a single, beautifully coloured, self-sown Poppy; I shall save the seeds.

Note there was very little sunshine when I took the photos.

I imagine it's a totally different world where you are. I think we're in for a drought quite soon.

The little nooks and corners contrast nicely with the wide open spaces.
Does Billy respect the nooks and corners or is he still a boisterous puppy at heart?

It is all looking good - I love the green of your pots.

He's slowly becoming 'sensible'. He still barks at occasional strangers, but I don't mind that too much.

It's a really beautiful green; very typical of Southern France.

It's lush. The poppy a work of art.

Your including the three recycling boxes made me smile. Even in paradise the mundane has its place. As a matter of interest (I am an ardent recycler) do you have to take your recycling to a tip or is it picked up by the French equivalent of the English council?

Lady M has made recycling into her one-woman mission. She takes it once every two weeks to some special receptacles.

It all looks wonderfully green and lush. I love the poppy.

It just poppy'd up on the edge of the lawn. It's a real beauty.

I did enjoy that peek into your estate. The entrance way is lovely, all the green soothing to the spirit.

Notice the Maltese cross on your tower wall. I also remember you showing us your ring with similar cross. Is there some significance?

What a beautiful place to live!.Would you and your wife like a lodger, lol?,xx

I love plenty of foliage, it gives a feeling of calm.

It's the symbol I've left on every house I've owned. No particular significance to the cross, other than I find it very attractive.

It's a nice idea. If you arrive in a horse drawn Gypsy wagon; you'd be extremely welcome... we have plenty of grazing for the horse.

It looks wonderful Cro. Was it like that when you moved there, or is it all your own work?

When I bought it there was just a one room ruin; but I could see it had potential. I lived about 150 metres away at the time.

It is very beautiful. I can see why you love it so much.

It's a lovely spot. I often moan about the changes, but it's still pretty good.

I love the self sown poppy. I get them all over my garden - don't know where they come from. I have an ongoing battle with my garener who would hoe them up on sight - I like to at least let them flower and then decide which ones merit saving for seed.

Most of the ones that pop up are red with a black interior, but this one is particularly nice. I shall keep the seeds.

I enjoyed seeing a bit more of your domain.

Everything is just lovely. My Retired Man would be jealous of your perfect lawn. It looks like Billy is enjoying all that space. My daughter, who grows poppies ( She also named her daughter Poppy) would love yours. It is a beauty.

It's a pity the sun wasn't shining; today it is!

It's a beautiful Poppy, much more vibrant than in the photo. It's a good thing I quite enjoy the mowing, there's a lot of it. There's more that I didn't show.

Everything is so beautiful there around your house.

Your domain is so tidy and well manicured.

Very green this year.

It's better when the sun shines. I think our Summer starts in about a week's time.

Cro Magnon said...

And the grass grows so quickly at this time of year. I have to mow at least once a week.

Cro Magnon said...

Give it another two weeks, and it'll start to turn beige.
