How does a small tyre, complete with inner tube, come to be lying on the grass outside the garden gate at Haddock's.
No doubt there is a logical answer, but for the moment I fail to see it.
I'm now waiting for someone to knock on the door to ask if I've found it.
It looks agricultural to me; but then there's not much around here that isn't!

It's mine. We've had very high winds here lately and the tires we were saving for our Earth ship house sort of rolled off. Forgive me.
I haven't got an envelope big enough to send it back!
Aliens from space in disguise lost a tyre hitting that pothole in the road by your garden.
cheers, parsnip
I'll be on the look-out for a spaceship with a tyre missing.
That's wheely strange.
And that's a very tyre-ing joke.
You now have a spare tyre...
LX
I had one already; unfortunately.
We once found a swimming pool ladder on our lawn????????
So that's where it turned up!

Had someone stolen your pool?
You'll have to fight with Donna for its return!
It fell off the back of a lorry - obviously!
The little tyre and its tube are lying on your grass....

they are tired!!
{...and, no, I am not sorry!!}
I think someone was about to take the inner tube out and use it in your swimming pool, but were disturbed in the night.
A bird dropped it !!! 🕊 XXXX
Probably a Stork; as it's a baby tyre.
So, I should look for a very thin person.
Dear oh dear.... too tyre-some.
Obviously.
MYSTERY NOW SOLVED! I've been speaking with a neighbour, and it seems as if it fell off his hay turning machine. He hadn't noticed that it was missing until he'd got home. He was happy to have it back.
I was going to say something along those lines but as everybody seemed to be having so much fun I decided to keep quiet.
It looks like a wheelbarrow tyre to me, but I note, problem solved. Sadly I could not think of anything witty to say.
Better a tire than a toilet. Glad your mystery has been solved.
With the strong winds and storms we have had in the spring, we have found quite a few of our neighbor’s belongings in our back yard.
It HAD to come off something agricultural. We just couldn't work out what.
We once lost a large parasol in a storm; it was never seen again.
Is there anything witty to say about a tyre?
After the hurricane on Lewis in 2005 people were reporting garden sheds having been deposited in their gardens - a tyre is a mere bauble in comparison.
For 'shock value' this might well have been a garden shed, it was that strange.
Mwah ahaha!!
