Kids eh!

"Look Ollie, what I'll do is tie this end to a branch, you sit in the chair, and we'll see if it holds".

"Is is holding Harv?"

"Sort of".

"Tell me if it looks like breaking".

"OK".

The rest is history, and probably best forgotten.

That photo reminded me of the tree house at the Hearne's place. Presume no serious damage was done.

Haha. Boys!

No, pride dented a bit.

They don't miss a trick.

Well, it stayed up long enough for the photo to be snapped.
I think Bok misses the boys.
Greetings Maria x

He was quite morose for a few days after they left.

Small boys. you don't know whether to tell at them or laugh at them. Very inventive! I won't be showing my grandsons that photo

The HAVE to experiment.

I think they named it 'The Floating Chair'. I would have called it something different.

Just shows what inventive minds they have !!! You don't have that sort of fun looking at a screen do you ?!!!!!! I do worry what modern technology is doing to inventive play. XXXX

This is why their tree house area is known as 'Dangerous Fun'.

If you think up a squillon and one things kids could get up to... they come along with the squillon and oneth thing... don't you just love that freedom of thought.

Someone took the photo.

I believe in giving children 'almost' total freedom.

When I was but a lad, we only had a splintered board to sit upon.

Cro Magnon said...

They have one of those too!

Were vinegar and brown paper needed? hope nobody was badly hurt.

Jane Karwat said...

You can't help but laugh when you see what they get up too.

Cro Magnon said...

No, but my industrial pack of sticking plasters came in useful.

Cro Magnon said...

They're both obsessed by FIRE (what boys aren't), which is my biggest worry.

Those were the days!

Do we get to hear the end of the story or do we have to draw our own conclusions?

Ha ha this brought back memories and of course fears of our two boys and the daredevil stunts they pulled daily. We are so happy they made it to adulthood. We just chuckle with delight when one of their children pull the same stunts. It is called payback.

Hello Maria...great to see you visiting again! xo

Wonderful to have a quick Sunday catch up of what's been going on in your neighborhood. Congrats on the garden bounty, and on having these energetic, rambunctious, creative grandsons. Bok's pal Marley reminds me of a beautiful dog who was part of the next door neighbor's family back in my childhood.
I'm not writing too much, because I want to keep hopping amongst blogs...like bees I have recently observed visiting flowers over in Central Park. xo

We try to keep them going Graham.

The less said, the better. All was OK.

How right you are. I shudder when I think back some times.

Hi Frances. I trust your summer is going well.
