Oy, short arse!

Floyd Mayweather's bodyguards tower over him on luxury shopping spree in London

This has to be one of the funniest pictures I've seen for a very long time.

Boxer Floyd Mayweather in London (surrounded by his heavies) looks as if he couldn't hurt a fly. However, one has to remember that he was the greatest super featherweight to light middleweight fighter of his time.

I wouldn't want to take him on, regardless of how tiny he looks; I'd rather take on the big boy on the right.

  1. I wouldn't wish to come within a hundred miles (or kilometres) of any of them - they look so intimidating.

    1. I suppose that's the whole point. Why he needs four of them; I can't imagine.

  3. Do you think they're ordered to wear black?

  5. Last week he was clothe shopping in Milan with his girlfriend and 15 bodyguards. According to rumours, they were there to defend him from photographer's assaults but mostly to protect the 4 million dollars that he wears on him: the value of a chain with diamonds around his neck and an Audemars Piguet watch. 1. Maybe he should copy me; I wear no watch, and have a £20 ring. I need no heavies either.

  6. I must get myself a circle of men. I'm five foot and a pipsqueak.

  7. He's a very wiry build so yes can imagine him packing one helluva punch. Not that I've ever heard of him. I know nothing about boxing.

    1. I've seen a few of his fights; not for the faint-hearted.

  8. Those bodyguards are not my idea of fine figures of men. If he didn't have them around him, nobody would notice him and then he wouldn't need them would he?

    1. Exactly. A pair a shades and a shopping basket, and people would ignore him.

  9. Bashing hell out of somebody is pretty cranky. They need a brain transplant.

  10. I think his heavies are there purely to stop bullets - on the basis that they are difficult to miss.

    1. As long as they used gold, diamond tipped, bullets, he probably wouldn't mind.

  12. This photographs reminds me of walking past Mike Tyson on Columbus Avenue, near the ABC television studios. I was surprised to see that he was about my height (not tall at all.) Of course, he had more muscles. I don't recall any entourage. We did exchange discrete smiles and continued on to our destinations.

    Best wishes.

    1. Tyson was/is a much more impressive figure than Mayweather; not someone you'd want to meddle with. A great fighter.

  13. what on earth does he need body guards for in the first place?

    1. I believe that he's very very very rich, and wears Million Dollar watches, necklaces, rings, etc. And being so small he's probably worried about being mugged by London schoolboys.

    1. Yup, although they do look as if they're off to Weightwatchers.
