Christmas No 1.

With Wills, Kellogg, and Bunny off to Oz before too long, we're having TWO Christmases this year. Last night's was Christmas No 1.

No Turkey this time; we had a veggie dinner. A few crustaceans to start with, then stuffed peppers and nut roast with roasted vegs, then mini-Christmas puds (they were actually Rhum soaked chocolate brownies cut into rounds) with thick cream and cranberries. All very nice.

As the Beaujolais Nouveau had been released just a week ago, I though it right to make that our drink of choice; plus the Champagne, of course.

Bunny had  lots of prezzies (and tried to liberate most of the baubles on the tree) and a good time was had by all.

Now we have to wait another month before our Christmas No 2.

'You might also like:' had a post with Minnie/Mickey on top of last year's tree. Who or what is the star Xmas dec. this year?

Cro Magnon said...

Mickey is up there again, with his silver halo; unfortunately he's just out of the picture.

Two Christmasses - lucky you. I love the look of those stuffed peppers. As I have one veggie on Boxing Day, might I persuade Lady M to part with her recipe - they look absolutely delicious.

It was my recipe actually! I stuffed them with a mixture of Flageolet beans, Mushrooms, and Chestnuts with some Parsley thrown in. They were very good.

Yes, I am.

It looks as though a very good time was had by all ! What a little sweetie Bunny is - you'll miss him whilst he's "down-under".

Nowadays we have Skype; but it's not the same!

Looks very Christmassy. I like the sound of rum soaked brownies. And I might have to try the stuffed pepper recipe out for my vegan daughter in Oz. Oops, I forgot, she doesn't like peppers.

Lovely, lovely, lovely. Veggies can be fun and sharing the holidays with those you love, perfect.

Well now you've started a tradition and the little darling is going to want two Christmases from now on, which I'm sure Grandpa will do. You're a good Grandpa Cro.

Good idea. Thanks. Is Wills vegan or vegetarian?

Looks wonderful. I've noticed for a month now various people at the store buying their turkey and Christmas items early, and wondered if they had family going away. In particular, I wondered if it might be the deployment of husbands and/or wives. One never knows. Glad you had a fun time and love the pictures.

Roast and plum pud' here, and shrimps on the barby down under?

Cro Magnon said...

I usually buy one Turkey mid December, that I put in the freezer, then I try to buy another one fresh a day or two before the 25th. If no luck then I take the frozen one out. So far I've been OK.

Cro Magnon said...

Half-n-half I think, we have to be quite cautious.

Chubby cheeks, smooth skinned, and blonde? Yup, that's me all right.

Cro Magnon said...

Let's hope so Jacqueline. The only real difference will be the Turkey, which I did miss from No 1.

He's got your head shape.
