Flying Visit.

My youngest son Wills, and the lovely Kellogg (above), have been with us for a couple of days.

From Oz they have passed through Sweden, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, and lastly Spain, visiting friends and seeing family. They fly back to Oz this weekend. I'd hate to think how much time they've spent in the air over the past few weeks.

Monty remembers Kellogg well. She helped nurse him back to health after his encounter with the Processionary Caterpillar.

A very brief visit unfortunately, but it has been wonderful to see them.

I shall not mention anything about babies or additional grandchildren, or even that her native Sweden would be a good place to deliver such things (her mother's in the business). I shall not even mention Spring (or even April). No, I won't.

Lola's a nice name, and I rather like Angelica too (Stop it Cro!)

  2. You sound a little pleased ! Pity they live so far away. Perhaps we'll get you visiting down here one day, there is certainly plenty of incentive.

    1. Possibly another Swedish Magnon (like Lady M). She is actually half Swedish and half Russian, and has a Russian name. Otherwise she is known as Kelly, but I prefer Kellogg.

  5. We can't help it Cro - we are wired up to think of possible names, places to give birth etc. Secretly they expect it of us - after all, once they tell us then they are inviting us to share. My parents hated my son's name which we had chosen (Dominic) but within a short while they were calling him Dom like everyone else.

    1. We have 4 grandSONS, so a granddaughter would be rather nice (although the grandsons probably wouldn't agree). Lady M has been dying to buy pretty girls dresses etc.

    2. I named my son Dominic, I love the name but everyone calls him Nick. That possibility did not occur to me at the time (I thought everyone would call him Dom). Nick was the guy who ran off with my first love Sally so I hate him.

  6. Lucky you! So many young people now are either putting off or never planning a family.

  10. I cannot imagine the stress of having a daughter. My nieces are now old enough to have boyfriends. Everytime they visit I am either cleaning my pistol or sharpening my sword.

  13. I looked at this post early this morning and I could swear a different picture appeared at the top - hope this wasn't a senior moment. Good news nudge nudge wink wink - say no more.
